So I am looking to buy a Texas championship banner since my alma mater won it all, and they are everywhere. I can't wait to get mine and hang it in my bedroom. So I started looking around the internet looking for a banner with the Rockets championship years on it.

All I found were the Celtics, Lakers, Bulls and the 05 Spurs.

There has been a retro phase in the last few years with the NBA, NFL and MLB. jerseys, caps, shirts with the classic logos on them, you name it. So what would you think if each league produced championship banners that were just like the designs that hang from the rafters of each arena, ballpark, or stadium? They would be small enough to hang in a bedroom, or a gameroom, whatever.

If someone produced a championship banner that was reasonable size, with the red and gold rockets logo on it, and the championship years on it 1994, 1995, and say the cost of the banner was 50 dollars, would you buy one?

If it was around 30 dollars, would you buy one?

I think replica championship banners would be very popular amongst fans of any team that won it all in the past 25 years if not more. If the cost of them was around 30 dollars retail. Surprised no one has really looked into this.

I always had a thing for high ceilings, with rafters. Kinda like log cabins and stuff. I always thought it would be neat to hang up your own personal banner.

I remember in high school, in the commons or cafeteria, they hung up banners of the clubs.

    how was i bashing?

let me help you read between the lines since apparently you are a little slow,

the banner would be for the years 94 and 95, i was implying that most of the chinese fan base that are rockets fan, have become fans when Yao came here, so why would they want the banner when they became fans only a few years back (not saying its a bad thing), hence why i said we'll let them go if they answer no, and the smiley implied a joke

    KAPISH?

I answered no and I don't think anybody can question my devotion to the Rockets. I just have no idea what I would do with a Rockets championship banner. I love the Rockets, but I don't own very much Rockets memorabilia. I do own a piece of the summit floor and a Hakeem Olajuwon rookie card, but that's about it. I have little use for sports memorabilia. I don't own any rockets clothing either, except for a hat they gave me on opening night last year. I wear it to the games, but sports clothing isn't my style either.

Ok, who picked up a mini-championship banner last night at the game? I love mine.

BTW, you're welcome for giving the Rockets this promotion idea. :D

I would pay at least as much as the price of a stitched jersey (~$70), but probably less than a M&N retro (~$300). Framed for certain.
