Cricket, ofcourse is what im talking about. however i am pissed that my favourite player went adam everett on the team, and got out on 1 run, stupid lbw. discuss.
Considering that India isnt harboring Public Enemy Number 1, I'm gonna have to agree with this statement in the non-cricket sense as well.
PAKISTAN EARTHQUAKE RECOVERY Kashmir's vast landscape is textured with the rubble of collapsed buildings, of mountains reshaped by landslides, the fresh graves of 73,000 quake victims and precarious tents for the millions who survived.......... American Chinook helicopters have been key to shuttling relief supplies and casualties. Many of them arrive at one of two US military mash units. This one has become a key medical center for Muzaffrabad, the regional capital. Its hospitals were wiped out in the quake.
Who's been winning the test matches? I don't watch em cause they are boring as hell. The ODI's start this week right?
Firstly, I doubt there are any American troops left in Kashmir now from the relief operations. Secondly, if these fools really are referring to American troops helping their earthquake victims as "terrorists", it only serves to underscore what idiots they are.
No problem we will pull all of our troops back, and then we will ignore them when they have their hands out because they can't handle the problems in their own region. SHEESH ! DD PS. England and Australia are much better at Cricket, did you guys see any of the test matches for the ashes last year....wow, can Peterson bat or what? Amazing.
Actually, I believe the UN still has a peacekeeping operation in Kashmir in which the US provides some nominal support via troops and special operations experts. Although the US mightve withdrawn its troops recently.
I love these threads....mainly because Im an Aussie and I just like to boast about how good we are compared to everyone else. I tell you what, I wish India or Pakistan was over here instead of Sri Lanka...they look very poor.
US Senator Tours Pakistan Quake Zone Islamabad 15 January 2006 U.S. Senator John Kerry visited Pakistan's hard hit quake zone Saturday. The former Democratic presidential candidate toured a sprawling tent village in northern Pakistan, distributing new school uniforms for children and meeting with local leaders. The senator spent the afternoon touring the massive tent village in Meira, Pakistan, which houses some 18,000 earthquake survivors. Last October's 7.6 magnitude quake killed an estimated 80,000 people, and left up to three-million others homeless. The senator's visit comes as weather forecasters predict more snow and cold weather for the high altitude quake zone. International relief organizations say they are working around the clock to deliver as many winterized tents as possible before the next storm hits. Speaking in front of the Meira camp Saturday, Mr. Kerry applauded the global response to Pakistan's relief effort. "I'm really impressed (with) the cooperative effort of countries from around the world, all of whom are sharing in the pain, the dislocation and the agony of what has happened here," he said. Also joining Senator Kerry for the camp tour was U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan Ryan Crocker. Local leaders from the Himalayan quake zone asked both men to help make sure international support remains strong, even after winter passes. Ambassador Crocker reiterated America's commitment to Pakistan's long term recovery. "We will work through the winter, and will be Pakistan's partner in reconstruction, not just rebuilding, but building better for people who deserve it," he said. The United States has pledged more than half-a-billion-dollars for Pakistan's relief and reconstruction. U.S. military helicopters, many pulled from combat operations in neighboring Afghanistan, are also supporting Pakistan's emergency programs. Senator Kerry, who ran against President Bush in the 2004 presidential election, is midway through a 12-day international tour. He is scheduled to visit Afghanistan later this week.
Cricket is rigged. Its so obvious. One team always chokes and the other always dominates. I dont get how people continue to watch it with so much passion when the fact is so obvious.
bigtexxx, You do know that India and Pakistan are former British colonies (i.e. the commonwealth), right? Nigerians still use British spelling as well of certain words (i.e. Honours). Besides, British English is the only real English, the rest is deviation. We speak American, not English
i used british spelling for about 10 years of my life, every once in a while, ill still use their spelling for some words unintentionally.
