What a silly 4th an 2 play [Lob to the corner] The bronces will probably lose this game if they keep making stupid decisions like that I dunno I thought Denver was a running team? Rocket River
that was one of the stupider 4th and goal plays i've ever seen. you go from 3rd and inches at the 2 to no points. just awesome. if i were a coach i would never ever call one of those jump balls and i would shoot any assistant coach that did. i mean what a way to let NE off the hook instead of running or bootlegging with a run option. and now they throw an INT that will get called with the review. broncos are f'ing this up royally and gonna let NE pull out another win. damn i hate new england. edit: and what do you know, the patriots pick up about 50 yards on a great catch into great coverage. new england makes plays, everyone else shrivels.
I absolutely hate the pass interference penalty in the NFL. Plummer just throws it to the endzone (borderline catchable) and there is some contact, so the ref throws the flag...sure, the call is questionable but I can understand him throwing the flag... BUT THEY SHOULDN'T GET THE BALL ON THE 1 YARD LINE. Why not a 15 yard penalty like college? By giving it to them on the 1, you are basically saying the WR would have made the catch no doubt, no matter the difficulty. I don't really care who wins I just hate NFL pass interference calls.
first fumble in over 7 games? these f'ers have been on a run ordained by God himself or something. 3 int's and 0 fumbles for 7 playoff games (actually brady has 3 int's in 10 games so it may be less than 3 for the last 7). i don't care how well you coach, to not fumble for 7 games is just amazing and a reason it's so damn impossible to beat them. so i'm glad to see it finally catch up with them with back to back fumbles, though. something has to go wrong for them every once in a while, doesn't it? at least denver capitalized with 10 quick points. but i'm sure NE will still win.
The only thing with that is dbs would penalize a lot more whenever they are beat because it's they would only give up 15 yards. At least with PI the dbs are forced to let the wr make the play. The thing that sucks about PI is that it's so subjective. Kind of like holding, you could probably call one every play if you wanted to.
that F'er almost ruined an enormous play. but he got lucky. if NE had gotten that, they would be the luckiest team in history. i mean a TE catches up to one of the best CB's in the entire league? you know, right before the play, i was thinking how cool it would be if a slant got picked off and returned for a touchdown and then i realized it would never happen. then when i saw the play, i thought they had the TD, then all of a sudden it started unfolding into my dream scenario. tom brady actually gets knocked down a peg by making basically the biggest mistake you can make. and NE still almost got saved. oh well, 17-6, please hold on broncos. although i still see 20-17 NE for some reason.
NE just gift wrapped this game. Denver has not impressed. The Colts should smoke them easily next weekend.
I hate the stats about the patriots dynasty. Everyone ingnores that they missed the playoffs one year. Dynasties dont miss the playoffs. Its basically a two year dynasty. I wish the patriots did make the playoffs that year, that way they could fall in the first round and the stats wouldnt lie so much. Our future coach is looking good out there. Plummer is overthrowing too many of his passes though. I like how the offense does on 3rd downs though.
Aw, you're not bitter, eh? We'll see about the Colts - traditionally, the Broncos have not matched up well with the Colts so I am not going to expect the Broncos to win. Hopefully, they will be more competitive against them (assuming the Colts do beat the Steelers) this time around.
How could this happen to me I've made my mistakes got nowhere to run The night goes on as I’m fading away I'm sick of this life I just want to scream How could this happen to me
Thanks Max. I have been a little annoyed at how the media is still not giving the Broncos any credit. Just forget the fact that this is the 4th time in 5 games that Denver has beaten New England since they started winning Super Bowls (including the 2nd time this season). I read the Boston Globe for the Red Sox and I was checking out their message board for the Patriots. So many of their fans whining about the officiating, which is hilarious considering how they have gotten so many calls over the years, especially with the freaking tuck rule. I hate the Raiders more than anybody, but even I had to admit that call was a sham. I am hoping for a Steelers win but not expecting it!
I'm LOVING it. Everyone keeps saying that we're not that good, and we just keep winning. This is beautiful.
