and give our bench alot of good minutes :D

hopefully I still have a good recap for our last game still in my head somewhere...but double doing all the stats can get a little tiresome. once everything is up, it should all look good and cant wait to see if you, clutch, try to make a highlight video from last game.

ill be there about 30min early as usual...

    Hey Guys,

Well I had nothing to do and I know it's a bit late but i decided to watch the game and put the stats up for the game.

Definently interesting to watch the game and see all the aspects you don't see when your playing.

I Went ahead and made an excel spreadsheet that I will go ahead and host on my servers and Rush i will give you a link so you can go ahead and add it to the site so it will have a running set of all the games as well as season averages etc...

    http://www.livesportscafe.com/khalil/basketball/stats.htm

It uses the Office Plug in on your browswer so you can view all the tabs on the bottom which will have each game and seasons stats....

And i managed to slow motion the last block and in the video, Yao gets his hand on it first and makes the initial block while Omega does the follow through of it.

    See you tomorrow guys.

    Game VS STG-3

Hey Stack, that's awesome. Especially since it automatically calculates totals and averages. One thing though, I think some of the equations might be off. Might want to double check on that.

I really want to see the tape of the game though, so please still bring it to the game tomorrow. I will probably still try to cut a highlight video from that one.

See you and everyone else tomorrow.

Well, the stats for the first 2 games are going to be a little off, that's certain. From last week's game forward they should be pretty precise since we'll just pull everything from the video footage instead of trying to keep up real-time.

You won't be credited with any more free throws you didn't shoot :D

Yeah, we need another set of eyes on that tape. If I get credit for that last block, I know I had at least one other one where I rejected that one guy's shot half-way up the wall. I hope that is on tape, as I wanted to see how stupid I looked posing afterwards. :D

Btw - thanks a lot to all those involved with the stat keeping. It really has made the league more fun.

Now that you mention that part where you stood there and posed, i remember the block. I am sure i might have fwd'ed to fast and miss that one part. I was forwarding right after a made shot or miss to the next side of the court so i might Have missed that one but i definently remember the block because i was right there.

Biggie, your correct on your extra missed attempt, I have it marked on the sheet of paper I have but incorrect on the stats sheet. Ill go ahead and fix it and reup it.

Clutch, Which equations do I have off? That way I can edit it and fix it.

EDIT: Clutch I found the error on the Totals page on the FG% I fixed it.

I definently think that if anyone has time that we should try meeting up after the game somewhere and watch it during the week. Definently saw some things that we could do better and if everyone saw it on film they would understand it better.

1st thing I thought of after reading above was to get together and watch it (especailly to see if we can find anything to play better against that last team-besides hitting the 3s).

i agree. something else to look forward to after gamedays...

yea I, myself, have been looking forward to these highlights (which may be few from last game)..and putting them on the site to showoff.

do you think any other team from inside the league has access to clutch and reads/scouts us? I mean I found it very strange that the numbers we had scouted for last game were completely wrong, from the other team changing them around.

anyways, see yall at the game.
maybe an easy game...who votes for biggie and/or kam to get the start this game? :D

Some issues I see with our defense is we have a tendency to help out a lot when help defense isn't necessarily needed. Most of us are good one on one defenders and especially the last game don't need help defending our own man. Rotation is a bit slow when our man finally does beat us and we need to get better at picking up the open man. Let's just play straight up D until we see one person killing us on a consistent basis.

On offense we set screens and picks for the ball handler but I don't think we do enough away from the ball. We need to set more screens and picks for guys w/o the ball. Screens along the baseline to help free Yaowink for some easy deep posts would be really effective. We do tend to focus on watching what the ball handler is doing. Let's try and add some movement away from the ball to our offense.

I believe that will get us some good open shots closer to the basket.

Here's a pretty simple play that I think would work well in this league against a man-to-man defense.

    1) Corner man sets a pick on Yao Wink on the opposite block, then runs through to the other corner.
    1) As this is occuring, the man at the top of the key passes to the man on the right wing.
    2) Yao Wink flashes across the paint looking for the pass from the right wing.
    3) If Yao Wink is open, the pass from the wing is delivered to him.
    2) In the meantime, the man who made the pass from the top of the circle to the right wing sets a pick on the LEFT wing player and they trade positions. If Yao Wink was not open, this keeps the offense from stagnating.

I'm not sure how well we could run it two or more times in a row, but at the end of the play we should be in position to run it the opposite way immediately, over and over and over.

WARNING: This play will suck against even a mediocre zone defense.

Good game guys ... nice to see everyone get some solid minutes and fill up the scoresheet.

Btw - didn't mean to appear angry at you CCR at the end game. I totally understand your point about running up the score and agree. I just got greedy when I saw an open lane and a good opportunity to dunk. I don't get a lot of chances without fear of getting undercut and falling on my neck.

Looking forward to seein the stats and video when they are available ... mostly to hear the Stack fan club after he nailed 3 after 3 after 3 ...

    ???

hope I read that right... because otherwise I thought you were regretting running up the score.

never ever, let an opportunity to embarrass the enemy pass by.
