Given what Casserly said an hour ago, no, I don't think this necessarily means anything related to VY. Kubiak and Davis have a history together and it's probably just from that. Even so, I'm not that thrilled to hear this, and imagine how you'd feel if you heard this two years ago... http://blogs.chron.com/sportsjustice/
If we get Kubiak and Jerry Gray, I'm all smiles. With Kubiak running the show, I don't think an offensive coordinator will play too much of a role in things, so I'd be content with Davis.
By the the way did anyone else hear Cam CAmeron refer to himself in the 3rd person. He's the Leon of NFL coaches.
Wow, Kubiak and Jerry Gray? That would really be a steal. We would be set coaching-wise on both sides of the ball IMO. I heard McClain on the radio this morning talking about how Kubiak turned John Elway from a run first QB to a pocket passer with the threat to run. I wonder if he can do the same thing with a certain QB from Texas......
That's interesting. Kubiak was the backup to Elway for at least half of Elway's career maybe longer before he went into coaching. Does that mean it took Elway 8 or 9 years to change to a pocket passer??? I think McClain may be exaggerating Kubiak's influence on Elway's career just slightly.
That's exactly what I was thinking! I believe they came in together...so Elway changed into a pocket passer mostly because of the advice of his backup???
From what I've heard he was always a great football mind, and knew the fundamentals of the QB position very well. He just didn't really have the athetic ability to make it as a successful NFL QB.
