    From the austin news.

I'd be happy with whatever Vince decides for himself, but I wish he could stay in Texas.

I felt the same way before the Rose Bowl game. I wanted Vince to stay, so he could come back and win the Heisman and lead us to a second National Championship next year. All the talk on ESPN about the Trojans being the best ever and blah blah, they won two championships...Since we beat them and if Vince came back and we won it all again next year, Texas lead by Vince = best ever. But recently I had a change of heart, I want him to leave. I want him to leave at the highest point possible, who knows if our defense will be the same next year. Look at what happened to Jason White and Matt Leinart after they stayed around for their senior years after winning the Heismans. Leinart is leaving college football on such a low, I feel bad for him. He was pretty much guaranteed the number one pick last year, and now he's possibly #3 if Vince comes out. We'll see what happens, in the end, Vince will make the best decision for everyone around him, and himself. I wish him luck in making this tough decision.

Thanks, but the Texan's pick is just a footnote.

    True That.

I want him to stay, more for my own sellfish reasons though. Ohio win, Heisman, dropping 50 on Oklahoma. And then spanking (insert trendy ESPN darling, ie ND) at the Fiesta Bowl. He's not gonna go #1 this year (Texans are run by spider monkeys) so it's not like he's gonna drop Lienart style. Hell still be a top 3 pick barring injury.

I dont think he'll go out loosing, UT's clearly #1. They still have MGriffin and Drew Kelson coming back. The Dline is loosing Dibbles and Wright but Okam is still thier and Rmiller got some valuable playing time. The linebackers should be upgraded with the new freshmans coming in and the Oline will still have Blalock, Sendlien, and Studdard.

If Vince leaves it's anyones NC to win. Ohio's got Ginn & Smith coming back, but thier defense is considerbly weaker now that thier might LB crew is going pro. Last year after all the bowls it was clear that Texas and USC were heads above the rest (except Ohio) of the field on account of all their returning players. BUt in the end I'll be happy weather he stays or goes. Good for him.

PS. Watched the Army bowl and saw Jevean play. Looks good, he threw 2 touchdowns, but i still have reservations about giving him the keys to the car.

It's almost like Vince's Rose Bowl performance forces him to leave. He has no decision any more because that game made it for him. He's too "big" for the college game (so to speak). I hope he goes to the Titans.

Good assessment. And although Ginn is a mighty threat, I'm relieved about OSU's LBs movin on.

If Vince stays, next season almost won't be fair, but that would be ok w/ me.

I think Vince is best served returning to UT. At least I hope so.

I think he will further develop and leave no questions unanswered, by next years draft.

He's going to be top 3 in this draft which almost guarantees him about a 10 million dollar signing bonus. The dude didn't come from a rich family. This will allow him to take care of himself, his sisters, and his mother for a long time. You don't pass on taking care of your family especially when they may need the help.

I hope he leaves because there is nothing left to prove at the college level.

I doubt the Texans have decided who to take without even bothering to work anybody out, etc, which is what John McClain wrote this AM.

If so, they are even more incompetent than they appear, which is hard to fathom with Casserly still working his magic.

I'm sure the Texans will make the right decision from a football standpoint, not from a whiney fan standpoint.

The Texans passing on VJ will be a huge mistake - along the lines of Russia selling Alaska for 7.2 mill ~ possibly bigger.

Because they have such a track record of good football decisions.

After the Rose Bowl you would think that some folks would be careful about advancing popular opinion as fact.

There is no sure thing in the draft, and more than just whiney fans could make an argument for any of the top 3, including VY.
