I saw a replay of it on ESPN. Fascinating that they pulled that out of the bag. Told my Dad about it and he began with one of those "back in the day" stories, LOL!
It's what Chuck Norris does to people that piss him off. One time, Chuck Norris was about to drop kick the football for the win, but the football got so scared that it actually flew towards the goal before his foot contacted it. Not only was the kick good, but it went through the net behind the goal and hit a peanut vendor in the head and crushed his skull. Also, the sonic boom created by Chuck's foot going through the air deafened all 21 other players on the field and all the referees...
XP Sort of a punt, but the ball has to hit the ground BEFORE you kick it...so you basically bounce the ball and then kick it. Link DD
Wow, I heard about it but I didn't think it was that big of a deal. I didn't know the ball had to hit the ground. What's even more incredible about that video is that I think I saw Bill Belichick smile. Maybe even laugh!
On kick offs; most conversions are place kicked..sometimes they are drop kicked. A drop kick can happen in the normal flow of play as well but is rare.
C'mon, it's my first day back from work after being sick for a week, and I have a splitting headache. I think I'm allowed a grammatical mulligan or two.
Flutie's awesome. That Wheaties commercial with a bunch weekend warriors renacting the BC-Miami hail mary was great.
Drop kick is stupid. Now if flutie performed a roundhouse kick through the uprights, we would have a controversy on our hands.
if flutie dunked it from the 30 yard line then we'd have a ballgame. on another random note if any nfl buffs can explain this to me. when 4th down comes up in the red zone and your kicking a field goal. why can't you just kick the damn ball from where it was downed last? why do you have to set the ball back 95 years from where it was last downed?
