I choose Reeves as GM, Kubiak as head coach, Mariucci as offensive coordinator, and Mike Singletary as defensive coordinator. Make it so Bob.

Reeves sucks. I can live with Reeves as GM since that would mean Capers and Casserly got fired.

Capers is going to be a helluva college coach somewhere.

He's got all the ingredients. Well-liked. Disciplined. Knows how to play fundamental football. His biggest weaknesses: (a) a crappy GM, (b) lack of creativity, and (c) excessive conservatism won't matter nearly so much in college.

Tell that to the Chicago Bears and they would laugh at you.

You're right. I'm almost certain this was Dom's last head coaching job in the NFL.

Kubiak would be nice. I wonder if any of the newly unemployed head coaches will get a call as well: Mariucci, Tice, Martz?

My number 1 choice is still Jeff Fisher, but I doubt the Titans let him go.

I have no problem with a defensive minded head coach. We've just gotta get someone who will bring in a first rate staff unlike Capers.

My vote is for Pat Hill at Fresno State. He's definitely ready for the NFL and is a great coach. Here's his bio:

They need to go in a new direction. That means no to Jim Fassel, Mike Martz, Steve Marriucci & Dan Reeves. Greg Williams would be great but you have to keep him from hiring his friends ala Dom Capers plus I heard that he wants to stay in DC. Advance word is that it will most likely be Kubiak though.

McClain seems to think the top 4 candidates are
    Ron Rivera (DC Bears)
    Ken Whisenhunt (OC Steelers)
    Gregg Williams (DC Redskins)
    Gary Kubiak (OC Broncos)

He seemed to discount Cam Cameron (OC Chargers), Brad Childress (OC Eagles), and Jerry Gray (DC Bills). He did mention Kirk Ferentz (HC Iowa) and Jeff Tedford (HC Cal) in addition to the top 4.

Out of those guys I would not mind seeing Williams, Rivera, or Ferentz. I don't know too much about Whisenhunt, but the Steelers have a good line, run the ball well, and play action pass a lot.
