Dopper Radar shows storms hitting Jersey Village, coming in from the northwest.

And please don't let him know that we didn't take a direct hit from Rita. It would break his heart.

I have no problem with that. I think she still works at KPRC.

I remember when she came to my place of occupation to do a story.

One of the happiest days of my life. She is pretty up close.

Should we evacuate? We'd better start buying bottled water and plywood!

No signs of a coldfront on the current map. What you're seeing is the new force field keeping the Yankees out of Houston. You didn't know?

So....it looks like we're in for more warm weather.

    YES! [/Napolean Dynamite]

Yesterday temperatures dropped from the high 60's to mid 20's. We ended up getting snow flurries last night...Buffalo apparently got about a foot. They're saying that today we could get 3 to 7 inches. It'll be in the 20's unti; Staurday or so, and it's like 26 right now. Kinda sucks, kinda refreshing.

Oh well, looks like both the NOAA and Almanac were way wrong on the winter precipitation estimates.

How about a little rain for Austin?

Yep, wearing shorts and a t-shirt while removing your Christmas lights on New Year's Day doesn't suck very much.

What is this "winter" you speak of? There's four seasons in Texas...

    almost summer
    summer
    still summer
    deer season...

Between the very warm weather, not getting any days off and a particularly stressful challenge on the job right now, this holiday "season" has been close to a zero for me. Just a couple of 3 day weekends in a row.

that was awesome, I was out in shorts and a T-shirt too, and was sweating.....wow....on New years...

So far not a day below 80 degrees in 2006.
