Yeah I remember that was the same year I dated Jennifer Anniston and then dumped her for Brittany Spears.
It's kind of ironic, but since Rudy's team is long gone this new team we have now full of vets is back to being a Rudy T type of team. The knock on Rudy was he wasn't good with new generation type players like Cat and SF because he wasn't enough of a disciplinarian. I know Yao loves Rudy after all the things he did to make his transition to the NBA easier. Might he consider coaching again if the Rockets offered him the job? Crazier things have happened in sports I mean Johnny Damon just signed with the Yankees.
No. Given the way he was treated by Le$, he has no reason to consider returning to the Rockets bench. Besides, he is earning a nice salary from the Lakers for scouting, living at home, and taking life relatively easy.
You can always visit either Disneyworld or Disneyland when the Magic and the Clippers play each other. Either town will work.
1. Dislike the T-Mac trade when it happened because I really liked the guys that were traded (yes even Cato). 2. It was a GREAT trade for the Rockets, T- Mac is a top 5 player in the league. 3. Our team will make the playoffs this year, this is still a good team and we're only 4.5 games out, It's not that improbable
I miss Rudy. I do not miss Francis or Cato. I do miss Mobley (who would add a bunch to this team, right now).
I miss the Steve Francis / Cuttino Mobley ISO days when they dribbled so much. I've never gotten so much sleep during an NBA season.
I don't miss any of them. The old squad was given their opportunity for 5 years and they were not able to get past the 1st round of the playoffs. The team had to be broken up.
I hate to reminisce especially when it brings back the past! ............................... ... ... ... .........................................
Jesus, can we get off Rudy already. Even if you believe that he was pushed out by Les, he still ended up not being able to handle a head coaching position with the Lakers. So regardless of the situation, he wouldn't be our coach right now even if we kept him.
The game had passed Rudy by. He needed a break. Most coaches reach a peak (like players) and then lose relevence as time goes on. This is what happened to Rudy. During the championship seasons and the couple of years before and afterwards, he was a top level NBA coach. But when the NBA game changed and our roster was overhauled, Rudy was out of step. When he went to the Lakers, I felt there was a 95% chance the experiment would end in failure.
