in the interest of annoying those who hate music threads, but moreso to get an idea of people's top albums at the close of 2005, i'm curious to see how the indie label in music has fared this year. a newsgroup i frequent has the following albums posted as the top ten indie albums of 2005. 10. Amelia - Por Avi¢n 09. Mon Frere - Real Vampires (EP) 08. My Morning Jacket - Z 07. Sleater-Kinney - The Woods 06. Wolf Parade - Apologies To The Queen Mary 05. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Howl 04. New Pornographers - Twin Cinema 03. Kaiser Chiefs - Employment 02. Bloc Party - Silent Alarm 01. The Decemberists - Picaresque i've managed to "sample" select tracks off these cds as recommend by allmusicguide.com but was curious to see other people's take on this list, or even their own top 10 albums in a specific genre if the indie label is not your thing.
I don't have a top album list. I think they're corny. But, I will say that "The Woods" is an incredible album.
I have these....I like em all, but screw MMJ for allowing Sony to copy protect their album and keep me from putting it on my ipod.
