the whole point of this thread is that yao is not only getting into the allstar game because of the chinese vote.

if you look at the paper ballot numbers, yao beats camby there as well.

now read the rest of the thread before you start posting nonsense

    what's wrong with chinese vote?
    .
NBA being so popular right now is largerly due to its world wide impact. and china pay a lot of money to televise NBA. Are you saying A chinese vote is less valuable than A pure american vote?

but I do feel Camby should be ALL-STAR

IMHO, An all star player is one that consistently put up good numbers and play a lot of games in a season, contribute on a night in/ night out basis, a presence for the team and play most of the 82 games. Not frequently injure and play very good in a stretch and go down. Camby got the talent, but unless he can play full strength in most of the 82 games, I'm not too impressed by his stats, not to mention all the other ways yao was way more valuable than Camby.

Nothing. You seem to think that the Chinese vote is the only reason Yao is leading the ballots. You're wrong, move on.

Relax, the homeland security office have already been working hard to make sure the least number of Chinese can enter the US. Question 1 in the security check form: Will you vote for Yao Ming if admitted into US?

Marcus Camby is a loser.... a nobody... his name will be INSIGNIFICANT in the history of the NBA when its all said and done.

Why this man has caused a thread to be 3 pages long is astonishing... lets try to find something better to talk about.

Stats are not everything. the effect yao has on a game is far more important then camby will ever have. also Andre miller spoon feeds camby alot. camby relies heavily on miller to creat shots for him. from what i've seen thus far, he cant creat anything for himself. his points are mostly from put-backs or spoon-fed miller passes. Yao on the other hand has the ability to opreate in the Low-post successfully and dosent need other guards to creat squat for him. infact he generate so many double teams, that he infact creates open looks for the guards.

Are guards lack of shooting is a real problem. hopefully once JB and rafer and DA get back, that will be solved.
