If this is the Joel's BBQ in Flatonia then I'm truly jealous. We used to stop there when we would go dear hunting which was about every freaking weekend during hunting season the entire time I was growing up. I stop there every time I go by.

Great game. My wife is from Nebraska and my in-laws live there, so I was glad to see them get the win. Those officials were really bad though. Whose idea was it to have Sunbelt officials that haven't had to work with instant replay all year officiate a bowl game between the Big 10 and Big 12?

I think every bowl game is supposed to have neutral refs

I live in Omaha and we had a big party for the game and I thought the game was awesome. The final play I almost had heart failure :D

Nice ending...would've been better if he had scored.

I think the most amazing thing about that last play, regardless of the fact that he DIDN'T score, was that every lateral pass was actually legal; great, great job by the Michigan players to not throw a forward pass.

Having said that, the linemen (and even Henne) just standing around staring at the Nebraska bench pouring ont he field were pathetic.

I'm a Michigan student from Houston. The guy that tried to be a hero was Tyler Ecker and this wasn't the first time hes pulled that crap. In the Ohio St. game, we had about 8 seconds left on the clock and Henne passes to Ecker. Instead of going out of bounds, he tries to be a hero and fight for more yards. I can't believe we lost this game! (I was sitting right behind the Michigan band. Good game)

watching the play live, all i could think when ecker got the ball and broke free was "does nebraska even have anybody on that half of the field?" once i saw the other two guys, it just seemed natural that they rode him out of bounds. however, as others have mentioned, why in the hell do you go out of bounds? that guarantees a loss. if you throw it anywhere behind you, even if you can't see a teammate, there's still a chance.

this has always been one of my biggest pet peeves in sports. one time, it actually helped my team. in the holiday bowl against washington, their qb just ran out of bounds on a 4th down play with just a few seconds, giving us the ball and the win. wtf, throw the ball downfield, give your team a chance.

same here, throw it backwards, lateral to breaston, do something, don't end the game after all that effort to nearly save it. initially i wasn't too mad he didn't do something b/c i didn't notice his two teammates down there with him. they actually had nebraska outnumbered 3-2. hell, slow down and let the other two block for you if you wanna keep it. oh well, i was rooting for nebraska so i'm not that mad, but i wasn't rooting for them enough to root against seeing one of the greatest endings of all time.

as someone else mentioned, it was amazing that all the laterals were legal. the one all the way across where it was fumbled was amazingly far but still backwards at the same time.

what a crazy (but ultimately dumbass) way to end it. i can't imagine being a huge cornhusker fan and seeing that guy break free.

That last guy who had the ball is an idiot, don't just get tackled out of bounds, throw the ball behind you or something.
