When you go out to eat what do you reach for to sweeten your ice tea?

    Pink
    Blue
    Yellow
    White

And does it annoy you if the pink, blue and yellow are not Sweet'N Low, Equal or Splenda? It drives me nuts but I still grab the pink packet. Every time I go out to eat I look around and I see people reaching for their preferred sweetener and wonder if they know it's not Sweet'N Low or if they are like me and just reach for the color.

I don't reach for diddly crap. I can't stand sweetened tea. Give me unsweetened any day of the week.

I am on the first few days of trying an low-sugar diet. Only going to eat sugars that are found naturally in stuff like fruit, etc. Apparently, I will shortly have more energy.

But I used to go white. Actually, most of the time I just order half lemonade / half iced tea (Arnold Palmers). Those things are great.

Uh, what? I can't imagine Texans drinking anything other than sweetened tea? Unsweetened tea is for yankees. So is hot tea. Yuck.

Sweetened, Iced tea for this guy.

Oh, and I use the blue.

    Pink taste nasty.
Yellow is too sweet. I'm just not sold on splenda.
    White doesnt desolve.

If I'm making it at home, its regular sugar though.

I like the blue, but I'll use the pink if there isn't any blue.

Thanks, my respect and love for my friends and family is directly proportional to whether or not they understand me when I tell them "bedways is rightways now" anytime it is bedtime or time to leave for home. Well, not really, but you know, really.

I prefer a simple syrup, but you can't get that at a table anywhere. I make it for the tea I make at home. The stuff in the packets doesn't disolve well.

I've actually gottten to a point where I use something called Water Sensations almost exclusively. It's good in bottled water and plain iced tea. It's a liquid in a small packet...I carry them in my purse and use them whereever I happen to be. They come in several flavors...peach, strawberry kiwi, orange, mixed berry, grape and lemon. They carry most of the flavors at some Target stores and all the flavors are available at many grocery stores in NYC. They're available at www.watersensations.com, too.

Pink, and lots of it. I don't care what brand it is. They're all pretty much the same. Blue & yellow just don't have that same great addictive taste.

Tea should never be sweeten. Sweet tea is for the yankees. Here in the southeast they make it sugar water. I always have to end up diluting the tea to make it bareable.
