Sorry, I can't root for another team to beat my home team unless death of someone I know is involved. That said, can I hope for a great tying game?
While I admit to watching hardly any games this year, there was that fluke three-game stretch where the Texans lost in the last minute. That's three wins they could have very easily had. So even with the abysmal performances, this team could have had five, six wins (gotta figure they'd win against SF ordinarily). C'mon, this is the NFL. Teams like Carolina go way, way up and way, way down in the course of one year. In any given year, a team can have several wins or losses than expected, what with fluky turnovers, injuries, or on-field attitude of the team that year. It is not unreasonable to think that with a playmaking RB, the Texans could have a winning season from now with the current core, if things fall right. Barry Sanders had little help when the Lions had a couple outstanding seasons. Draft Bush and an offensive line, and the offense can ball-control and keep the mediocre defense off the field.
http://www.reggiebushsweepstakes.com/ "In the coming weeks, you will see coaches punting on 3rd down, receivers dropping passes, Hall of Fame quarterbacks throwing interceptions, and Dom Capers keeping his job. Meanwhile, running backs will be playing as if their very livelihoods are on the line. Domanick Davis will start throwing up 200 yards per game. Deuce McAllister will miraculously pronounce himself healthy enough to play. Curtis Martin will rise from the dead. It will be more captivating than the Super Bowl, more unpredictable than a Michael Jackson Xmas Party. It's the Reggie Bush Sweepstakes."
I would be afraid to put young players into that game for fear they would try and win. Better to stay with the older players that have proved they can't win.
