Swift is a young athletic guy with tons of potentiol.. Who can play center aswell

Anyone ever think about trading him for Cato??

Cato was the perfect compliment to Yao, we all saw it, we all loved it. A Cato/Yao revival would fit this team perfectly

Trading won't work, since Cato makes more money (unless it's a package deal).

We could always try to oubid everyone for Cato when he becomes a free agent; $4 mil per should get it done. ;)

Cato's Strong suit was defense and rebounding. exactly the big man we lack. plus seemed to play well under gundy.

Cato will be three years older if he comes next season!
What we need is a two-year-younger Cato.

What we need is for Swift to get out of his funk and play harder.....he is struggling like the rest of the team, and more than anyone he needs a good PG...

Orlando won't do it because Yao has been exposed...eh...I mean Swift has been exposed. :)

With hindsight, would you still draft Head over a rookie PF? Head gives us some mobility at the pt, but I think there'd be a better tradeoff with a solid defender....

If we're talking about "trade thoughts", the guy I want is Gerald Wallace from Charlotte.

He's an excellent all-around defender and is a versatile guard/forward that could play alongside T-Mac and handle whichever the more difficult SG-SF assignment is (basically what we've been doing with Bowen). Like Swift, he posesses freakish athleticism and is a good rebounder due in part to that. He's the kind of player that could really be a difference maker on a good team(or at least, should/will be good) similar to what a Tayshaun Prince or Josh Howard brings to their respective teams.

The catch is he's not a very gifted offensive player. He has no outside shot and his handle is shaky, but he's a scrappy and smart player that knows how to use his tremendous athleticism to create scoring opportunities and does so effectively, as he is among the league leaders in FG%.

He's an absolute terrorist defensively. He's very disruptive and blocks shots at will. For instance, he had 5 blocks in a game tonight. Basically, he's a 10x more athletic and coordinated version of Ryan Bowen.

Why Bickerstaff would deal him, I don't know but it sure would be nice.

Gerald Wallace would be a beast on this team. Great guy to target....but a lot of Bobcats fans think he is their MVP with the hustle he brings to the team. Doubtful he gets moved.

If the Rockets can steal Gerald Wallace from the Bobcats, then we should do it without a second thought. If we can also steal Brevin Knight from them then we should do it too. I don't see a reason why we are keeping some of the players we have right now when it is almost the end of the year and we're still sitting in the last and final spot of our division and facing a chance to miss the playoffs. What we have right now reminds me of the Steve and Cat show again. We have potential on our team but just not living up to expectations. This team is embarassing to watch right now.

Yea, and the fact that almost half of the team (including an all-star center) is injured has nothing to do with it.

Why would the Bobcats give up either of those guys for what we have? They don't care about expiring contracts since they are WAY under the cap and they don't need any aging guards or under-performing forwards.

I think a realistic target for the Rockets would be Jalen Rose. I know, I know, he is older and his contract sucks. But, it ends next season. You "bite the bullet" this season and hope you can trade his expiring contract next year.

He would give this team another scoring option and an experienced ball handler. He has plenty of playoff experience as well as playing with a big man (when he was with Indy and Rick Smits). Not sure all we would have to give up, probably have to include a 3rd team but I think it would be worth it IMO.
