If the Rockets won't fire Jeff then why not bring in his brother to co-coach the team? As much as I dislike Jeff Van gundy, I was impressed with what Stan did with the Heat (despite his Van gundy blood). Maybe if they were both working together and challenging each other then we could see a huge improvement. Just a thought. I'm not trying to jam this down anyone's throat.
According to SVG, he quit because he wanted to raise his children. He is still on the payroll of the Miami Heat as well.... who we compete against.
Coaching the Rockets is EXACTLY like raising children: Pat little Tracy on the head for doing well. Try to motivate little Stro and little Derek to do better. Keep little Yao from stubbing his toe again. Make sure little Moochie's hair stays cut short. Make sure little Ryan takes his Ritalin. Keep little Patrick away from the bad girls. etc.
I've got a brilliant idea. Have alternating coaches! We can have SVG for the away games and then JVG for home games. a bold strategy anyway you look at it.
