It's in Yao's new contract that they have to give his restaurant more business. Chinese peopel are sneaky like that, we're the new Jews.

Yah, in fact, his restaurant is secretly financed by Les Alexander himself, and run by Clutch the bear.

Any links to the stats of this? I know there are great Indian engineers, managers, no clue about their business acumen though.

they are trying to keep that restraunt open so their husbands have a little job security.
    has anyone been back lately?
ive never been because of the bad reports on cf.net,
that and you can get the same food, with better taste, and half the price, a couple of blocks away on Bellaire.

Yao's restaurant is trying to do the impossible of making Chinese food "fancy" and convince people to pay more for it than at a local Chinese buffet.

Chinese food is like Mexican food: there is nothing 'elegant' about them, it's food you eat during lunch time from some fast-food places or you pick up on your way home at your neighborhood drive-through.

Anyways, that's just how I see it. While the place is nice and clean, you can get the same food at half the price anywhere else.

BTW, they have reduced their prices recently, I am guessing business is not going well.

Tigermission I don't think you know much about Chinese food. Some of the fanciest food in the world is Chinese and some of the most expensive and exclusive restaurants are in Hong Kong and Taiwan serving Chinese food. Anyway just go to a good dim sum and you will get a sense of the variety and fanciness of Chinese food.

Also not all Mexican food is the taco and burrito type that Americans are used to. There are some pretty fancy Mexican seafood dishes.
