Not me. I think slavery is evil. The conservative African-American from Colorado (I think) said that. He has his own radio show. ------------------ "norm, would you like to buy an indian scalp ? This deal isn't gonna make or break me Norm, so don't jerk me around." Harry Carey "Norm, if I had a mohawk scalp, I wouldn't be sitting here talking to you."
Sosa is black yet in america they further subdivide black folx amazing that a black person that speaks spanish is consider hispanic but a black person that speaks france is not considered french [see Haitians] Rocket River "I point at Q-tip and he says Black is Black" ------------------
Maybe I'm confused here, but none of these posts explain WHY Sosa isn't considered Black in this country. I mean, if you saw him on the street and didn't know who he was or where he was born, you would probably think he's Black, right? OK, he's considered Latin as well - I get that. So call him Black Latin if you want. That's the problem when people try to hang on to race and/or ethnic labels in a melting pot like the U.S. If I am white and my wife is Asian, how should our daughters identify themselves? Actually, the U.S. Census changed their forms the last time around to allow individuals to check more than one ethnic group. Makes more sense to me. ------------------
