As a team, we aren't playing too bad. JHo and Swift have 30 points between them, DW is playing ok with 10 points, and T-Mac is underachieving with 17 points. Granted he's injured and double teamed, he still should be able to at least try and drive in or draw the foul.

Then you look at RyBos 5 missed field goals and say "WTF is he doing in the game!!". It's obvious that without Yao's 20+ points a night, these Rox aren't gonna last long. Add in that we dont have the key rotation players, we're gonna be dug into a deep hole that we wont be able to get out of until Deke comes back. With DA and Alston returning soon, and the possibility of Sura after the New Year, we should be looking at a possible positive year. Who knows? Maybe Sura will bring the emotion and intensity back to into T-Mac which seems to be missing lately and Sura just becomes an offensive beast. With DA looking good before his injury, he might become an offensive threat as well, and I dont know what to expect from Alston.

If we can keep our record around .500 by the time Yao comes back, we'll make the playoffs. 7th seed at best.

    MEMO

To: Any human being capable of dribbling a basketball

    From: Carroll Dawson

    Date: 12/23/05

    Subject: Civilian Try-outs

    Loyal Rockets fans,

As you all know perfectly well our current situation couldn't possibly get much worse. Due to constant injuries, lack of production from underachieving players and the ever-persisting lack of a go to guy not named Yao or Tracy I am forced to look elsewhere for a solution.

The purpose of this memo is to inform all interested in trying out for this proud franchise to come to an open try out on the 26th and 27th of December. I urge all interested to attend regardless of ability or size because in case you've had the unfortunate opportunity of watching Houston Rockets basketball, you would agree you couldn't be much worse than some of these players you've watched.

NOTE: Preferred age would be 35+ and having a history of injury problems is also preferable.

    Sincerely,

    Carroll Dawson
    General Manager, Houston Rockets

P.S. I don't appreciate all the death threats.

P.S.S. I would sign a woman before I would ever bring Spree on board.

If we want to be around 0.5 by the time Yao comes back, we need to go something like 17-12 in the next 29 games. I think that it's mission impossible. And with TMac playing like ****, we will be lucky to go with 7-22 in the next 9 weeks unless Yao comes back earlier than expected.

this is the uglyest game I've seen!

    1. basically the game was into trach time at the middle of the 3 qts. 10 points from TMAC, 15 points combined from JH and Swift are trach points!

DENVER was not seriously playing us any more.

They double-tripple TMAC in OOOOOOOOOOOONLY in the first and in the seccond, they just single covered him most of time bacause it's meaningless.

Man, NACC team is much better than tonight HOU

The proroblem is, we stocked of on a bunch of aging vets. the risk of injuries was allways gonna be there. we went with a policy of wining now over a policy of surronding tracy and yao with talented youth.

How many times did Kobe ever score above 60 points in a game?

Yes I can see that. My question is, Tmac is not even trying to assert himself or make an impact on the game the past couple of games.

I'm wondering if this is attributed to him being disinterested right now because of all the overwhelming injuries.

It sure looks like he is just not into the games (mentally). Care to venture?

NCAA, you right. I am just so mad at this team. No energy, nobody step up and TRY to make a push! No passion at all!!!

Kobe also had younger and more athletic role players surrounding him.
