If you had a choice of these two squads:

    1) The Rockets team that showed up for the mavs series last year

    2) This year's team in a couple of months with sura back from surgery, same with yao, and some of the other guys together playing .. basically this team in the beginning of March

What would yo utake to the playoffs?

For sure this years team with everyone healthy. We did not have a pass first PG last series that was healthy, Sura was not 100%, and did not have a true PF. This year we do with JW and Swift and at PG we have Alston. Also the addition of Head and Anderson makes the backcourt somewhat younger and more athletic which our team lacked.

    Last years lineup:
    Yao/Deke
    Bowen
    Tmac
    Wesley/Barry
    Sura/James

Possible lineup for playoffs this year(if we make it):
    Yao/Deke
    JHO/Swift
    Tmac/Anderson/Bowen
    Wesley/Head/Barry
    Alston/Mooch/Sura(if he comes back)

If everyone healthy you can easily see that this year Rockets have more better options than they did during playoffs last year.

At full health and given the time together to get on the same page, I would take this year's team.

Remember, last year's team took the Mavs to seven games, pretty impressive. And last year's team MADE the playoffs. I still think we would be better with James than Alston. But, we really haven't seen this years team, together. In parts, not impressive.

This years Rocket team is on hurt and not playing. Lets get the people back and then we will see a better team than last year's playoff team.

There is no way to answer that.....especially since it looks like this years team will probably not make the playoffs.
