Stro should be given 1 to 2 plays and learn from there similar to nash/amare at least he get touches.he does not get as many shots as DA,DW or Head. The Rockets know they are not going to trade him because of the potential.I predict they are going to trade him in two years if and only if he does not live up to the expectations. The bottomline is he should be given the playing time in this game even if he makes mistakes.its a probably a sign for JVG to play him bec Yao n Deke are injured.Let him play at least 35 minutes!

I have done my share of Yao bashing over the years but can't help think if the situation were reversed with Ming in this game and Tracy out and only scoring 7 points he would have been bashed to no end . . .

    (admittingly) even by myself.

Both guys had roughly the same crappy lineup to work with maybe Mcgrady dealing with more guys out but during the 0 and 8 losing streak we did have a far more brutal schedule.

One thing I noticed when either one of these 2 guys are out

is that Ming will cary the team (up to the) the middle half or 3rd quarter and then fade while T-mac can carry the team from the 3rd and finish usually.

One guy is a closer while the other is in the middle stretch. Just my observation from this recents episodes.

Name calling wont get you anywhere in life. again, he had a better supporting cast. da, barry and alston were there. but you dont like facts do you.

you people need to get off of kobe's nuts. from the footage i saw he was not doubled or tripled much. and when he was, he was still given room to get his shot off. mcgrady is nearly always played tighter than that on defense. mcgrady is playing tired. that's all there is to it. you can change your name to kobesboy now.

We may win 50/50 and the scores will not over 90 when Deke is back because he can provide some defence for the team. Yao's offensive power will bring us to playoff. I hope McGrady can come back like Kobe's play. He is now our only reliable offensive player, but his play was so soft in today's game.

The Rockets obviously don't have enough players, they don't have enough talent, they can't shoot consistently (what's new), they can't rebound, they aren't fast, they hardly ever run a break, and they play better on the road than at home (?) But, one thing really bothered me tonight, the lack of fire, the lack of desire, the lack of aggressiveness. At times they looked disinterested. That really turns me off. Even if you are sorry you can play hard and never quit. I turned off in the third, and maybe this is too harsh, but that's how it looked to me. :(

Is it wrong to give up on Stro this early in the season ?

    Because I'm really getting there...

I blame this game on Yao Ming. He had zero points, zero rebounds, zero assists. :D

If you watch the game carefully, you may find the difference between McGrady and Kobe. McGrady's play was slow and hold the ball to wait double or triple team, but the problem is we need the scores from him without Yao.

What game were you watching? We outrebounded Raptors 37 vs. 33.
Taking Tmac out, the role players scored 74 pts on 46% shooting.

T-mac had a shocker. one to forget. when something like this happens, it's up to the supporting cast to stepup. the problem is, all our real role players are all injured.

Can't blame us YOF's for being a little smug. There was a lot of crap about Yao a month ago. Him being soft, v*gina, weak, timid, etc - needing to "carry the team" and "be a man". Heck - some posters blamed Chinese culture.

TMac looked bad this game. But he's not at 100 percent and he has a new child on the way. Can't blame the guy for having an off nite.

No one to blame here except the injury bug really - or Stromile Swift. I guess he really is just a bad player. RYAN BOWEN is a better player than him.

To be fair, the role players did their part tonight.

Both YOF and YOH annoy the **** out of me.

Until some idiots on this board get it through their thick skills that not only do we need our two stars healthy and in uniform, but in fact need other role players to also be in uniform and healthy and playing well to win that we will FINALLY settle this crap.

Those who bash Yao needlessly are beyond pathetic and are YOH; those who can't wait for the Rockets to lose games without Yao so that they can get back at the YOH are YOF and it becomes rather evident when posters that aren't normally active in game threads suddenly start posting to bash one player when he has a bad night.

T-Mac had a crappy offensive game tonight, no question about it. His passing and rebounding was above average, but his offense is his bread and butter, and he didn't do it tonight. Still, I think we lose if he scores his normal 25 or whatever else he averages.

The only thing that should matter is W's and L's, and when people are more interested in assigning blames, it only shows their true colors (this is true as well of the sickening Yao bashing all the time in game threads).

for this game that is true. kobe is quicker than mcgrady also and that helps. but the guy i quoted was speaking of mcgrady being soft overall and not just in this game.
