He traded for Beltran and Randy Johnson at the deadlines and signed Jeff Kent as a FA. Oswalt, Ensberg, Backe, Lane, Berkman,Lidge and Taveras came up through our system. He traded for Bard Ausmus. Hunsicker's moves put us where were at. If Purpura had added a bat or some middle relief we'd probably be World Series champs right now. Now, when faced with the prospect of losing Clemens he does nothing at the winter meetings. I can't believe any true Astros fan would give him an ounce of credit. Maybe the fact is that you aren't a Stros or at least not an educated one. I hate Casserly for what he did to our team but at least he tried. He didn't do his homework and it really hurt our team.
