I am wondering: what can the Rockets do to respond to all these injuries? Is it possible to claim injury exceptions while leaving room for the possibility of a return of that injury player this season? If not, what other options do we have? We are in DESPERATE need for warm bodies...

Next few games should be easy. After that, hopefully guys will start coming back. I think the raptors and jazz should be easy wins though.

Hopefully someone will come in through a trade. This team has a lot of talent, not any great talent, but a lot of decent talent.

First off, lets see what we have..

    Stro
    TMac
    Head
    Wesley
    Moochie
    Stephen Graham
    Baxter
    Howard

So we can safely assume Graham and Baxter wont see heavy duty...meaning this team will have to run to get easy baskets...that's the only answer at this point, barring trade...Stro/Howard/TMac/Wesley/Head can run and get easy scores if JVG lets them...and in the halfcourt set, run a motion offense and have Wesley and Head as kickout options for TMac on drives...More importantly, tell Swift and Baxter they MUST box-out and score in transition...basically what it all comes down to is that the Rockets' offensive game plan will need a vast adjustment...whether JVG does that or not depends on how successful we are...

    True--I know one thing though

The days of Stro and Juwan combining for 6 points are going to have to end.
They won't have Yao's numbers to hide behind anymore, and T-Mac is now more likely to get in their grill.

how about we just play through it, take our lumps, and come back strong when everyone gets healthy.

No kneejerk trades, there's no need to cut anyone, just stay calm and ride it out.

    We've gone from:

Bob Sura / Rafer Alston / Moochie Norris
David Wesley / Derek Anderson / Jon Barry / Luther Head / Stephen Graham
    Tracy McGrady / Ryan Bowen
Juwan Howard / Stromile Swift / Lonny Baxter
    Yao Ming / Dikembe Mutombo

    To:

    David Wesley / Moochie Norris
Tracy McGrady / Luther Head / Stephen Graham
    Ryan Bowen
    Juwan Howard / Lonny Baxter
    Stromile Swift

Ouch - it's going to be a rough month ahead. They don't even have enough players for a 5 on 5 practice.
