Too bad SF couldn't pull it out on the road at Jax. Lost 10-9, so close. We'll need SF to beat St. Louis next week, b/c I feel pretty confident that we'll beat SF in the last game of the year.
I guess whether they pick 1 or 2, they porbably were not going to draft Bush anyway...so either way they will definetly have some teams willing to do what it takes to get either Reggie Bush or Matt Leinart. Toilet Bowl 2005 - Texans V 49ers
Leave it to a Houston sports team to give you misery for an entire season and then win a meaningless game to rob you of even hope.
A theory.. (realize I didn't see the game since I'm not in town, so correct me where necessary) But the main abstainers from the draft-reggie-bush vote seem to be those who think "we already have DD, and he's good...just looks at his game". I used to at least think about that sometimes--even though people have pointed out his lack of breakaway potential and all--since we could obviously upgrade elsewhere. However, my new theory...based on the performance of Wells this year and last year when given some PT periodically...is that this O-line and/or scheme is pretty good at run-blocking, no matter how terrible they are at pass blocking. So maybe it allows DD or Wells or insert-any-serviceable-back-here to succeed at least SOMEwhat here. That would lead me to think Bush could do even more amazing things here...and it's even more of a reason to draft him. make sense?
