Does anyone else get as excited about this matchup as I do? I already hear the Laker Nation talking alot of crap about how T-Mac will get it handed to him by Kobe. I know there is concern about T-Mac being fatigued but I for one think that T-Mac has games like this circled on his calendar (I'm sure Kobe does too) and true superstars don't allow fatigue to get in the way of games like this.

Now that Shaq is gone people don't get as excited about these two teams matching up, however I feel that this game is vital to keep our momentum going and bounce back from a tough loss. Not to mention we need to pick up wins against teams like the Lakers becuase who knows where our record will end up and its nice to have the tie-breaker against WC rivals.

Nothing left to do now but strap ourselves in, and watch the two of the current best in the league go at it toe to toe.

Due to the lack of responses, apparently it's only you who's all worked up about this matchup.

I only worry if we'll crush the lakers by 25 or 35.

    Either number would suffice.

Glad to final see a good thread coming up today, why isn't it exciting to see
a T-Mac vs Kobe match up? Sure it's a team sport but a superstar match-up
always add spice to the mix.

I bet both of them will give it all.

I think that's why YAO need step up big!!!!!!!!! TMAC and KOBE, two great players will likely cancel out each other. W dont have answer to ODOM and they have no answer to YAO.

So YAO need work hard tonight!

I want to see Kobe go off for like 45 on 35 percent shooting and T-Mac score like 30 on 50 percent shooting and yao ming take chris mihm apart.

Will these two even be matched up against each other? I know kobe has been moved to the wing so he can score more, and it seems like t-mac is now a point forward/ off guard thing. So maybe Lamar Odom will match up with T-Mac, and Bowen on kobe? That would make sense to me. We'll finally get to see if this Smush character is for real tonight.

Should we try and stop Odom and make Kobe do it all himself? Or do we try and stop kobe and force the rest of the team to beat us? I can't decide.

I think Kobe and T-Mac will have similar stats this game.

If all things being equal--i.e. if both were guarded by similar defenders--I would pick T-Mac any day. Unfortunately, Odom will be guarding T-Mac and I think Odom's long wingspan will give T-Mac trouble.

We don't have anyone similar to Odom to guard Kobe. Sure we can shut him down with T-Mac, but that will also tire him out on the other end.

The good news is, Odom will be so tired from guarding T-Mac that he will score 5 points and get 2 rebounds.

    Rox win.

I am going to the game tonight and i am also looking forward to seeing the tmac and kobe match up.... I also went to the game last night against the clips and i over heard people comparing kobe and tmac at halftime... one guy said that tmac was sick as hell, but he is nothing like kobe...This was right after he dropped 25 in the first half! these LA fans are out of their minds, i hope tracy outduels kobe tonight

You sound so happy and chipper in so many threads. I'll take that as a good sign that you are ready to drop 50 against Kobe tonight.

    Yeah, I think so man.

My back feels pretty good and I haven't had any pain for a few games, just been keepin it real and the other teams honest.

I'm all on board for these big one on one matchups, and I'm surprised the league doesn't try and exploit it more.....oh wait, that is how they hype all nationally televised games. But I still love them. I'll watch a great matchup like DWade vs. AI or LBJ......but I honestly think that Kobe/T-Mac is only second behind KG/TD. You simply cannnot top those two going at it. Only wish KG had a better team to give a better run.

I personally love seeing T-Mac in a big one on one matchup because he gets to show why he should easily be considered a top 5 player in this league. When he goes from matching up with Dirk to Kobe to AI to LBJ.....I mean the guy brings it on a nightly basis, and I think it gets the shaft by the national media at times.

Kobe looks good, scoring, dishing to his teammates, playing D, making everyone around him better.

What are you trying to say? Ok Kobe sucks?

Tmac is my favorite player and I'd take him over Kobe any day, but its funny how you guys act like Kobe sucks. Kobe is a bad@ss player.
