Didnt see this unless I'm blind. ROx are ranked #6 in the latest rankings. That's a pretty damn high ranking IMO considering where we are right now.

    Houston Rockets (9-12)
The NBA's hottest team, they won at Seattle on Thursday to make it five in a row and 4-0 on their current road trip. Meanwhile, Yao Ming leads all vote-getters in All-Star balloting after first returns.

who else ya gonna put in the top 10?

we have won 5 straight lol

it might not have been against sa, detroit, dallas, memphis, and LA clippers

but still it's 5 straight and no other team has a 5 game winning streak right now.

plus we're actually getting close to where we should be, a playoff team.

When was a 9-12 team ever ranked #6 in any power ranking before? :p

Well, they are weekly power rankings. The Rockets have had a great week.

they've played well. plus when you look at the teams below the rockets, none of them are as hot right now. these are weekly rankings and the rocks had a good week.

Don't take his ranking seriously. He doesn't even know Rocks/Clippers game is on Saturday.

I was just about the post the same thing. :)

Gave me a scare, too. I had plan on going out tonight, knowing that the game is tomorrow.

It's a generous ranking. We're pretty short-handed right now. If DA were healthy, then the ranking would make more sense; but T-Mac can't keep giving us 48 minutes per game.

I'm convinced the media is bipolar on our team.

i'm thinking DA being hurt kicked us up a few notches.

i have to say 6 is kinda ridiculous for a 9-12 team. these may be weekly rankings, but they obviously take the whole season into account. even in our current streak i don't see a top 6 team. granted, 4 in a row on the road is tough no matter who you play (and the warriors are decent) but we haven't really beaten anyone good and i feel our current level of play would come up short against a real top 5 or 6 team. hopefully we can continue to improve and perhaps make a trade that will make this ranking more justifiable.

In my opinion, even though the rockets are winning, I don't think they are a good team yet. Their wins aren't very impressive. They aren't winnin the games in a dominant fashion, rather they are always close to the opposing team and then have mcgrady to finish the game. What is Mcgrady isn't on fire to finish the game? Then we got a problem.

power rankings are a joke. there is no formula to decide the rankings, therefore it's left to a writers opinion. which means, since one man can't follow all of the teams, that it's completely decided by homerism, bias', and ignorance.

cool that someone thinks we are that high, but lets be real, any of us could make a power ranking worthy of SI or ESPN.

If people are gonna rip us and say there is no excuse for losing 8 straight, then I don't wanna here excuses about us winning 5 straight. We're missing 4 members of our backcourt, and winning tough games on the road.
