moochie or wesley bring the ball up in crunch time?? last night was a nail biter
and those turnovers made me angry, at least wesley did some plays to make up for it, but ya i do get a tad nervous when they bring the ball up,it like fisher and davis were toying with them,or is it just me?

    Wesley, no.
Norris, yes. I have no idea why he even sniffed the court in crunch time.

that turnover moochie had when the ball bounced off his chest out of bounds pissed me off quite a bit

I think it's amazing that we won that game with those TWO CRUCIAL turnovers late in the game. Teams with terrible execution like that late in the game normally lose. It just continues to underscore the importance of good ball handling and the need for a PG on this team. We are missing Alston and Sura.

Moochie got in last night in crunch time because:

    1. Head's offense was subpar AND was making costly mistakes resulting in turnovers.
    2. Wesley's game was strong enough that he needed to be the SHOOTING guard.
    3. TMac wasn't himself and seemed tired in the 2nd half. ie...not playing point forward.
    4. Sura and Alston are hurt.

As a result, Moochie was in.

I think Moochie has improved and has demonstrated to JVG that he is committed to play hard (I suppose from practice).

When I say "improved," I mean he won't embarrass himself (like Strickland did). At the same token, Moochie doesn't give you anything. He's serviceable in a pinch.

Nervous? I damn near had a heart attack. Speaking of Moochie of course. I kept the local paramedics on hold the whole time, in case something happens. They thought I was crazy at first. But once I explained them the situation and told them Moochie was running the point at crunch time, I think they needed me more than I needed them.

LOL. Yeah, I'm nervous ANY TIME Moochie is on the floor, let alone crunch time when we have only one chance to make a tying/winning basket. I was surprised JVG would take Moochie over Head in that situation.

Nervous? Try damn near terrified. I don't trust head with bringing the ball up either. I'll be so relieved when Alston gets back. Even if he isn't able to find his shot, at least he can protect the ball and bring it up the court.

based on last nights game, Wesley and T-MAC look much more comfortable at the point right now than head

moochie is a close third...mooch only had one turnover on a good defesnive play by fisher

When Moochie came in, I was thinking "This is definitley not a championship team yet if Moochie Norris is running the point in crunchtime". Since his early days in Houston, I thought he was terrible. I still do.

I'm most confident when McGrady brings it up. Wesley had a good game yesterday, but I swear even in his good games when you think, "hey maybe wesley isn't bad after all," he makes at least one horrible move in crunch time that makes you want to kill him all over again. Dribble it off your foot? Or how about the open three he passed up for the pathetic drive that got blocked at the end of the Detroit game? I was so pissed.

That was on Wesley. Moochie dribbled it off his chest and out of bounds somehow.

That might be the problem with moochie. He is just too over-talented. It take skills to bounce the ball off of chest while dribbling.

I'm didn't think twice about it. But then I didn't focus on the TO's but noticed that suddenly there was a Rocket player guarding the 3 point line where we had been getting killed previously by the GS guards.

Wesley is learning to be a PG. And he did pretty well since he didn't do it after college. And he is kind of like Parker, fast, very fast. Maybe he will be a surprise this year.

Wesley ran some point in Charlotte when Baron kept getting hurt, or when Baron went to the bench.
