Just wondering ..... if you listen to them. This is for the people that listen to them and others like Depeche Mode, Information Society, Red Flag, Anything Box, Human League when growing up. I'm just asking out of these 3 groups.
Depeche Mode was the most popular, but I never liked the guy's voice. Of those listed, I'd choose New Order.
It's hard for me to decide so i didn't i would rank them this way Depeche Mode Pet Shop Boys New Order Erasure
I picked New Order, but it was close for me between them and the Pet Shop Boys. Erasure has a couple of catchy songs but they're too Pop-y and generic. What turned the tide for me is that Pet Shop Boys have some terrible songs to offset their great ones. ("Go West"... are you kidding me?)
Of those 3, New Order is a pretty easy choice for me. New Order always gets a lil extra cred for the whole Joy Division thing, but out of those 3, I enjoy them the most.
I love this type of music! Erasure and Pet Shop Boys had some great stuff but I don't see myself buying their individual albums (but I do have greatest hits compilations for both). However, I have like 6 New Order albums plus "Substance" (one of the best double CDs ever, I feel), so I guess I will say New Order. Human League was great too as well as Ultravox, a-ha, Split Enz, Spandau Ballet and Alphaville. But The Cure is my favorite band out of new wave/synth type bands (but The Cure could do different types of music like goth, pop, rock, etc.).
hum? Ultravox New Order was a more consistent band but Erasure was dance hall days! and I do like the new New Order
Try blaring Once In A Lifetime as loud as possible. David Byrne is a genius. The Talking Heads are just on another level completely.
You know it's funny the 3 bands you mentioned all have new albums that came out within the last few years (Pet Shop Boys - 2002, Erasure and Depeche Mode - 2005).
how can you beat "WEST END GIRLS"!!!! "kicking in chairs and knocking down tables in a restaurant On the west side of town . .. call the police theres a mad man around" Rocket River
Erasure, hands down i agree Depeche Mode and a few others are better groups, but i've always liked Erasure.
