I am hoping JVG would read this. They can be a deadlier combo tha nash/amare.they need to spread the floor and do this most of the time.i'll probably post this thread everyday until jvg reads this.i think stro was not given the ball that much in the portland game.i think he needs more touches!

If Stro were half the player that Amare is, this thread would not be totally worthless.

First, t-mac and yao's pick n roll is the rockets' best weapon. Now, T-mac/Swift's pick and roll is deadlier combo...........

If Stro had a reliable 15 foot jump shoot this might actually work, but he has to work on that... Also, when someone gets in the way of Amare, he goes around them or spins off them, when someone gets in the way of Stro, he kinda doesnt know what to do and often puts up a bad shot. This can be a deadly combo but he has a couple key things to work on first, but im pullin' for him

I've seen a couple post up turn around 10 footers from Stro lately that are giving me hope. You are exactly right. If Stro could develop a reliable 15 foot jumper, he would really be difficult to deal with. I think he can. He's just so athletic and he jumps so high that it's not gonna come naturally. He's gonna have to develop his jump shot and he's never really had to because he could just jam it down against weaker opponents. But playing in Van Gundy's system, he really needs to be able to turn, square, and fire up a soft jumper from the FT line.

What are you guys talking about? Running the pick and roll with Stro is a great idea. Don't knock his ability. 1st of all he's more of a dribble drive threat and 2nd when was the last time you seen Yao shot a 15 ft. jumper off the pick and roll? Can't remember can you, so why not let Stro take a couple of stabs at it?

the reason why nash/amare pick n roll was successful is because nash is a pass first point guard so amare had a lot of opportunities.Tmac is not selfish but if he pass more to Stro in Pick n Roll stro would gain more confidence.Another reason why Nash/Amare was sucessful is because they had more spacing Q,JJ,Matrix were just waiting on 3 Point area.If we use the Pick n Roll Yao would be inside and two guards on the wings there's a slight congestion in there so they have devise a way in which Tmac can easily pass to Stro.

Nash/Amare Works because Nash finds a needle's eye when passing.

Am I the only one who has been thoroughly disappointed in Stro? Right now, he wouldn't even drum up much trade value, much less contribute to winning. He looks lazy and confused on the court.
