If we do draft Bush, what happens to davis? Don't they play the same position? Is it possible to play 2 great backs on the same team?
I would assume they would try to deal him, he's got a big contract so you might not get more than a 2nd or 3rd rounder at best, maybe a decent lineman.
With that 4-year, $22 million contract he just signed, we'd be lucky to get a 4th round pick for him. So, I suggest we keep him.
I'm all for drafting Bush. There are many Bushes in this town. One more won't hurt, lol. Seriously, draft some good linemen further down in the draft, maybe pick up a good FA or two, & the Texans should be heading toward the top before we know it. ~ Kountzer ~
that is one of the stupidest comments ever. yeah, orlando pace is a great lineman but warrick dunn has been a very good runningback for a long time in this league. there is simply no comparison to ki-jana carter and tim biakamitunka. those guys were in the NFL for about 5 seasons combined, warrick is going on season #9. he's currently 4th in the entire NFL in rushing yards and has had four, 1,000 yard rushing seasons not to mention over 3,500 receiving yards in his career. also, he has been one of the most durable backs in his near decade in the NFL missing only 10 games in the last nine seasons. give the man some damn respect.....
Tim Biakabatuka ........ wow I havent heard that name in a loooong time . lol . I say we draft Bush if given the opportunity . He is as close to the real thing as it gets IMO .
I'm not saying Warrick Dunn is crap. In fact, I picked those three comparisons for a good reason. One running back had his career wrecked by injuries - Ki-Jana Carter. One wasn't very good with occassional fumbilitis - Biakabatuka One is a good running back - Dunn Yet, in each case, you'd take the offensive tackle taken in the draft - because the chance at a franchise left tackle is worth that. Warrick Dunn is a quality back - but he's not worth passing up Orlando Pace. That's all I'm trying to get across.
