well his brother in law was deported to a 'friendly arab country'. so i'd assume they'd do that to him. of course if they can't prove he did anything i fail to see why he should be deported especially given that his kids (i believe) were all born here etc. but thats what our lovely gov't does. when it can't prove things in court it resorts to administrative immigration procedures where law is irrelevant and does what it wants. and yes. he is a damn good man. god bless him.
i dont know him personally no. but i have worked with people and i know people who have worked with him and are close friends of his. and from all accounts he's a good man. and i trust the viewpoints of those who say this. i also have many mutual friends with his children. similar accounts. similarly i know people in tampa who are involved in the community with him and his family and they also speak volumes about him. so i think i do speak from a personal prespective instead of reading the tampa press' single handed crusade against him. could i be wrong? sure. i dont think you ever know all hidden secrets about anyone. but overall im comfortable saying he's a good man. i recognize there are times he's said stupid things. but to understand the 'jews' reference you first have to understand that palestinians (christians or muslims) refer to israelis as 'jews'. now on an intellectual level im sure many could submit that obviously there are those isrealis who are genuinely good people (i read haaretz daily) and others who really are oppressive. but from an emotional prespective of a refugee i think you have to cut people some slack. is it wrong? i think so. but its not something that precludes someone from being a good person. george bush agrees:
thanks IM...i guess i just don't equate celebrating terrorist attacks with a 'good man.' Regardless of the cause. You'd be surprised how many 'good men' turn out to be not so good....
