    Imagine there's no heaven,
    It's easy if you try,
    No hell below us,
    Above us only sky,
    Imagine all the people
    living for today...

    Imagine there's no countries,
    It isnt hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
    No religion too,
    Imagine all the people
    living life in peace...

    Imagine no possesions,
    I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
    A brotherhood of man,
    Imagine all the people
    Sharing all the world...

You may say Im a dreamer,
but Im not the only one,
I hope some day you'll join us,
And the world will live as one.

    + John

    Yes I'm lonely wanna die
    Yes I'm lonely wanna die
    If I ain't dead already
Ooh girl you know the reason why.

    In the morning wanna die
    In the evening wanna die
    If I ain't dead already
Ooh girl you know the reason why.

My mother was of the sky
My father was of the earth
But I am of the universe
And you know what it's worth
    I'm lonely wanna die
    If I ain't dead already
Ooh girl you know the reason why.

    The eagle picks my eye
The worm he licks my bone
    I feel so suicidal
    Just like Dylan's Mr. Jones
    Lonely wanna die
    If I ain't dead already
Ooh girl you know the reason why.

    Black cloud crossed my mind
    Blue mist round my soul
    Feel so suicidal
Even hate my rock and roll
    Wanna die yeah wanna die
    If I ain't dead already
Ooh girl you know the reason why.

On the Pink Floyd forum I post on, they were talking about how that loser Chapman wants "his voice to be heard".

We already know why he did what he did - he felt it was the only way he would become famous, so he killed someone famous out of jealousy. No way in hell should he be getting any attention for doing this utterly senseless act.

    Anger at Lennon killer programme

John Lennon's oldest surviving relative has condemned Channel 4's decision to broadcast tapes of his killer.

Lennon's cousin Stanley Parkes, from Scotland, said Thursday's programme - to be aired on the 25th anniversary of his death - glorified a murderer.

Mark Chapman shot Lennon in New York on 8 December, 1980, after having the former Beatle autograph an album.

Channel 4 defended the programme and said that neither Chapman nor his family had received payment.

The tapes were recorded in the early 1990s by Chapman's biographer, Jack Jones, and will be aired in the Channel Four documentary 'I Killed John Lennon'.

Mr Parkes, who lives in the Scottish seaside town of Largs, said that the decision to air the tapes and the timing had upset the family.

He said: "I think the decision is absolutely abhorrent. It's totally out of order to give the man airtime to explain how and why he shot John.

"It's just glorifying a killer. Our family are devastated by that. It should never have been allowed to happen, especially on the anniversary.

"I don't know how they (Channel 4) get away with it. To everyone else John is a public figure, but to us, he's just our John."

Mr Parkes said this was an emotional time for Lennon's family.

He told the BBC Scotland News Website: "It's very sad for the family when it's all brought up again. The anniversary of his death is upsetting enough without this as well."

Excerpts of the tapes, also being aired by the US broadcaster NBC, reveal Chapman's self-confessed "compulsion" to kill Lennon.

Chapman, interviewed in the New York prison where he is currently serving a 20-year-to-life sentence for the murder, said he hoped his "identity would be found" by killing Lennon, who was 40 at the time.

Chapman said: "There was a successful man who kind of had the world on a chain, so to speak, and there I was, not even a link of that chain, just a person who had no personality.

"And something in me just broke."

The 50-year-old was refused parole for a third time last year but may seek a new parole review next year.

A spokeswoman for Channel 4 said: "I Killed John Lennon is very much a serious documentary and has been handled accordingly.

"The programme looks into Chapman's psychology. It is about the mind of a murderer rather than about John Lennon.

"Neither Mark Chapman nor his family have received payment."

Yoko refuses to acknowledge this day. She refuses to dwell on the date of his death. She celebrates the day of his birth; October 9th.

I remember when Howard freaking Cosell laid this news on me in the middle of a Monday Night Football game.

I also remember the memorial gathering in Zilker Park in Austin the next night. Lots of people brought guitars. I brought my twelve-string. It was moving.

Yep, me too. Sitting in a dorm at SHSU. I was floored by the news. We had gone to Houston just 3 days before to see the off-broadway production of Beatlemania. Marshal Crenshaw played John Lennon.

We had the just released "Double Fantasy" album blasting for 2 days throughout the dorm. Everytime I hear a song from that album, I hurt a little.

Sportscenter actually replayed Howard Cosell breaking the news to the world last night during the 6pm broadcast. Thats the first time I have seen it since that night.

The best report I read about John Lennon's murder was in an old Houston fanzine called Pun-X.

The headline read: "Stupid A$$hole Shoots John Lennon"

The first lines of the story read: "Some stupid a$$hole shot John Lennon just to get his name in the paper. Well, he's not gonna find it in this one."

I wish someone in jail would kill Mark Chapman so it would be over with. That dude is the biggest coward who ever lived...shooting John in the back like that.
