Espn has an interesting poll If USC wins out and Indy wins out which is more impressive

    USC 35 game winning streaks
    INDY 19-0 streaks

I know the NFL is different than College Football but to go 35-0 is pretty impressive.

USC has won two national titles and are competing for another during that span. Indy didn't even go to the superbowl. Give me USC's streak any day.

Indy's streak is more impressive. They are in the big leagues. USC is child's play.

Tough one. USC's streak is almost double and they are competing for another NC. But it's almost like men playing among boys, they clearly have better players at every position everytime they play an opponent.

The Colts are amazing right now though, they are absolutely dominating the big leages and that counts for a lot to me.

If Indy wins out, that's tough. I'll still say USC, but going 19-0 in the Parity Age would be pretty remarkable.

i don't think that's what they're saying. they're not saying who would be who...or what team is better. they're talking about it relative to the talent they both play. is it more impressive for a college team to win 35 straight...or is it more impressive for a pro team to win 19 straight? that's the question.

USC plays in college, where the big teams play junior varsity teams for about 3/4ths of the season... I'd go with Indy seeing how in the NFL a high win team can get whooped by a crappy team on any given Sunday.

I understand that. Just wanted to point out how you need to be on top of your game to be in the NFL, because your competition is typically the best of the best. College level isn' like that at all.

right...but it's all relative, is my point. because it's college players playing college players...so presumably, YOUR GUYS aren't at the top of their game all the time, either.

My only defense is I'm sure a lot less teams in the NFL have gone 19-0 then college teams that have gone 30-0.

It is obviously the Colts, because as crappy as the Texans are, they are way tougher than 75% of the teams USC plays. How many USC games are in doubt going in? The Colts are having an amazing year, and bringing in Dungy to coach a team with those offensive weapons was brilliant.

    Colts.

College teams often go undefeated. It's like going 13-3 in the NFL.

I vote for the USC streak. Maybe a college team won't always play top level competition, but the coaches are still having to integrate new players and talent on a constant basis as seniors move on, players leave early, etc. Plus, it's often more difficult to win a second or third title once that target has been firmly established on a team's back. All in all, it's perfection (at least in terms of record) for over 30 games, and that's pretty damn impressive.

Besides, the Colts get gimme wins vs. Tenn and Houston each year....that's already 8 of their 19 straight wins!!

19-0 and 35-0 both assume they win out this year, in which case Indy would win the Superbowl.

In that scenario, Indy's is more impressive to me. I believe Miami was on a 30 game win streak just a few years ago, and the college record is something in the 40s. No one has gone 19-0 in the NFL. Ever. To me, that's an easy one.

I will actually be more impressed, if the Texans go 1-15.

1-15 is nothing if they go 0-33 now that would be impressive!
