You are right on the money.

It'll also work with the role players. More range for Yao means less clogged up lane and some Center passes to cutters. Cutters that move without the ball is always faster than dribble driving alone. Receiving passes from a 7-6 passer will also make the pass easier. It's two advantages the Rockets aren't using right now.

We are now arguing FOR T-mac to NOT go all out?

If he is not healed. . . why is he playing?
Is this the T-mac we can expect for the rest of his contract

as for penetration . . I'm not saying take it to the rack
    but
hell . . rip Hamilton makes a living between 20-10 feet

You are one seriously dumbass. Tracy once he got adjusted to houstons game plan, played like an MVP hence he carried us to te playoffs. to say Sura instead of tracy took us to the playoffs, should be put up there with the dumbass comments of alltime.

Because they're three points each and they look good on highlight reels.

I think this is a bit over critical. For two reasons.
    1) Jordan didn't have a 3 point shot as effective as Tmac. Sure Jordan had some good years for shooting 3's but he also had some dismal ones.
    2) Since Kobe has had to carry the team he hasn't broke 44% shooting. Which happens to compare very nicely to Tmac's 44.3% for his career. Kobe's career percentage? 45%.

Now, on the flip-side, I do agree that Tmac loves his jump shot a little too much... especially beyond the arc. Tony parker has nearly abandoned the 3 point shot this year and is shooting terrific. Even if Mcgrady doesn't take it all the way to the rim to try and dunk, getting inside for a pullup jumper would probably raise his percentage and still get more fouls called for him.

maybe it's because he couldn't shoot at will due to his back conditions.

With posts like this, no wonder you have 2000+. Don't be so defensive, cuz nobody's hatin' but you. This isn't a discussion about how important TMac is to the team. We better all know the answer to that. It's simply saying if TMac would be a more effective player if he attacked the basket more often.

I definitely think he would be a tremendously more efficient and more effective player. Now, whether it's his health and/or habit (or whether his health will permit at all) is a whole other issue altogether.

Maybe this team is starting to feel like the good old times he spent in Orlando.

Maybe his expectations for this season were just as high as ours were.

Maybe he's tired of listening to Van Gundy.

I don't know what to say y'all! In a simpler system with more freedom for the players, maybe players like Swift and Anderson will blossom... helping McGrady out. Maybe its time to go a different direction.

Just looking back at our championship years... the coach we had... the team we had... the comradarie we had...

This team just doesn't feel like that at all.

I'd hate to blame Van Gundy for all of this, but I can just imagine their practices...

Look at what (can't remember his name) old Timberwolves head coach is doing for the Pistons now. They've only gotten better... I wish we would've grabbed him for our team.
