How is it that Liverpool plays so well in the CL and so mediocre in the premiership? It's like night and day. They better hope they win the CL again because they won't finish in the top 4 in england.

I'd just like to add that I was at the AC Milan/Juventus game last week at San Siro!

I think I have been 100 % wrong with my predictions here so far in these threads. So let me just say that Bayern will lose to Brugge and Vienna :).

I'll take the Rangers. I don't know anything tho'.

Anyone know how to keep your shots low on the winning 11 game, I keep shooting over the cross bar. I try to tap the mo fo and the ball still launches over the bar.

Match Day 6 is about to start. Some big teams, like AC Milan, PSV and Man United must get results in order to advance to the knockout round.

Upset watch: Manchester United need a victory to advance to the knockout round (a draw with a Villareal win woud work as well), and they're trailing Benfica 2-1 at the half on ESPN2. Are Fergie's days numbered?

Gutted. Time to clean house at Old Trafford. Sack Fergie, Rooney is the only player worth keeping on the team.

United looked terrible today. I was shocked. Anyways, the draw for the knockout rounds is next friday, I'm pretty sure. How about Udinese, all they needed was a draw, and two goals in the last four minutes sent them to the UEFA Cup.

    Group Winners
    Juventus
    Arsenal
    Barcelona
    Villarreal
    AC Milan
    Lyon
    Liverpool
    Internazionale

    Second Place Teams
    Bayern Munich
    Ajax
    Werder Bremen
    Benfica
    PSV
    Real Madrid
    Chelsea
    Rangers

There's quite a bit of variety. Rangers are a very bad team - they've got to be the draw any top seed would want. Villarreal are clearly out of place amongst the top seeds, and Inter aren't exactly the most consistent of teams.

    UEFA Cup Safety Net
    Club Brugge
    FC Thun
    Udinese
    Lille
    Schalke 04
    Rosenborg
    Betis
    Artmedia Bratislava

The English clubs seem to get preferential treatment when it comes to games shown here in the States, so I'll doubt we'll miss any of that action. I hope that they show Bayern vs. AC Milan at least once. Great matchups all around.

I'm not realy happy that Psv has to play lyon, however psv beat them last year, so maybe they can get an upset again.

i do not think Ajax can beat Inter, Ajax is playing verry poorly this year.

    I think:

    Barca beats Chelsea
Real Madrid beats Arsenal ( i really hope not)
    Bayern Munich beats AC Milan
    Liverpool beats Benfica
    Lyon beats PSV
    Inter beats Ajax
    Villareal beats Rangers
    Juventus beats Werder Bremen

It's almost here! A little over a week before these matches start. I looked up the listings and ESPN2 is showing some of the games (the best ones in my opinion):

Real Madrid vs Arsenal (2/21) 1:30PM (That's my b-day so I'll be at home chilling watching the game :)
    Barcelona vs Chelsea (2/22) 1:30PM

I am pulling for Real and Barca to advance.
