Ive used it to get Rockets vids, but other than that, I am not too sure about what it is?

    Is it dangerous?

Can it be used for other things?

    Thanks!

Yes, for music, video, software and games and prob. a whole lot more.

You cannot get a VD from it though, so you are safe.

I believe its file sharing software that allows different people to download from different places, not one central location. And it helps to free up memory?

I don't know that much about it myself.

    Very informative...

Im downloading some music and the files appear in .ogg format.
Has anyone heard of this format?

Also, once you download something, can you delete the .torrent?

    Thanks!

Yes, you can delete the torrent and stop "seeding" aka "uploading" the torrent... although people who keep seeding or uploading help increase everyone's download speed, so it is a "nice" thing to do to keep a file seeding a while after you're done. .Ogg files are simply a compressed version of a .Wav file that is even smaller then an .Mp3 file.

You should be able to play it through Media Player and/or Winamp, there are also file converters to convert .ogg to .wma/.mp3

If you convert an ogg to mp3 will it lose sound quality?
How does ogg sound quality compare to mp3?

I've always heard ogg is better quality but that is just what I heard. I have never used it.
