Man, it's in the teens right now in Fort Worth! And is snowing in DFW.

It's 40 here, and dropping as it has been all day. I'm in College Station where they say it's going to sleet and snow tonight and tomorow morning.

Here comes the first real cold weather for the year. Are you ready?

I hear ya Tex. Windchill the other day was 18 - it had to be close to a record low for the 6th of December for Nashville. From now til mid March, I just hold on the best I can and hope and pray that we don't get too much snow and ice and that the days of brutal cold are limited. :(

I love this kind of weather! Tomorrow the low is 30 with a high of 42. I wish it was like this 9 months out of the year instead of hot as hell.

I've been up in Chicago visiting family a lot over the past few years and I have to say, the temperature gets lower there, but it doesn't feel as cold. I'm guessing it has somethig to do with humidity; but when it gets cold in Dallas its gets fargin' cold! Brrrrrrr......

It's not really snowing in Dallas right now, at least not in the north side. We had some sleeting a while ago. But it suppose to snow tonight, and I hope it sticks, I haven't seen snow in 6 years.

Tell me about it. It's freezing here. Besides, we've had all sorts of freezing rain/ slick road advisories for tonight. I don't see any actual precipitation yet. It's messing with my plans, or has potential to, for the evening. I can just hang out on campus and not have to drive, but a lot of people have substantial commutes on country roads and may feel differently. I'm not going to insult the weather, though, because it's not doing anything yet.

I'm going to call BS without pics. I live near the Kansas/Oklahoma border and it's not snowing here. Currently 14 degrees. Wind chill near 0.

You know, there is a good 200 miles between you and Dallas. :)

    Where you at, btw?

Bring it on! It is already snowing and sleeting in the western part of my state (Arkansas) and my area is predicted to get 1-3 inches of wintry mix. Hell yeah!!!

My call of BS was directed more at meteorologists exaggerating Winter Storm 2005. If it isn't snowing in Bartlesville, it isn't snowing in DFW. Maybe ice and sleet but actual snow...I find it hard to believe. It's much colder here than DFW.

Edit - it is snowing here now.

You're in Bartlesville? Do you work for CP?

That's like saying since it wasn't snowing in Chicago last Xmas (it wasn't) that it wasn't snowing in Houston (it was).

    No comment :D

It's the same system though. Shouldn't it be stronger in the north? I admit I don't know much about weather. Just show me some pics. I didn't mean to derail the thread. Back to crazy weather.
