Why not? I usually can't afford to go to games, so he probably never punch me in the face.

Stephen Jackson. Playing for the Pacers, former Spur. From Port Arthur, TX? He's a scorer as his starts would suggest, he is also an idiot (offered good money from Spurs, settled for a min contract with the Hawks, Brawl in Detroit)

Is he even on the trading block?

He's fighting with Jermaine O'Neal over something - another testament to his idiocy.

I've watched that Detroit-Indiana brawl time and time again. In my opinion, Stephen Jackson was the main reason why it escalated the way it did.

When Artest and Wallace were sort of going at it, he was standing off to the side challenging Pistons players to fight. When Artest went into the stands and tackled the fan, Jackson was right behind him punching innocent bystanders left and right for no reason whatsoever. In the video, he even punched a guy who had his hands up and was trying to back away. There's no way I'd a jerk like that on this team.

Couldn't agree more. Jackson should have been the one suspended for the season last year. No way I want that punk on our team. Fck him.

Jackson was very smart for turning down the Spurs offer, one of the few athletes to win in that gamble. San Antonio had offered him like a 3 year 12 million dollar deal, including the year in atlanta he got 7 years around 50 million so that means he got paid paid paid for that year in atlanta.

I'd take his baggage if they throw in Tinsley for DWes and Moochie. Then trade Juwon and Rafer somewheres for something else. Then maybe dangle SJax out there for somebody's expiring, maybe trade him to Atlanta for Harrington???? :)

He's got a rep from Pacers fans for making dumb decisions that usually end up with him jacking up a shot.

Seriously, can we just get it over with and trade for Jalen Rose? We're going to get him anyways when he becomes a free agent this off season, so might as well speed things up since we desperately need his scoring. ;)

Awesome idea...while were at it, let's get Stephen Jackson, Ruben Patterson, Latrell Sprewell, AND Jalen Rose...

Could be fun. Even if we keep losing, we could entertain ourselves by betting on who f*cks up first. Who gets fined or suspended for conduct detrimental to the team first? Who gets arrested first? Who swears at/spits on a fan/coach/teammate first? Who gets arrested for assault first? Who goes AWOL first?

Maybe if the stars were to align correctly, we could achieve the "quadruple double" of misbehavior. Jalen Rose gets benched by JVG and then refuses to reenter the game, Ruben Patterson gets in a fistfight with Tracy, Latrell Sprewell chokes JVG, and Stephen Jackson starts flailing wildly into the stands at Toyota Center.

Well the postgame quotes would be a lot more interesting, and JVG couldn't complain about lack of emotion anymore.
Maybe we really do need some knuckleheads after all ;)

Umm.. the bystanders were hardly 'innocent'.. if you watch the brawl again the guy Sjax swings at threw a beer in the face of Artest right before Sjax swung at him.. not saying that he was right in the incident, but i dont know alot of people that would watch someone throw a beer in the face of a friend and do nothing about it.. Oh and as for saying it was Jackson being the main reason for the brawl escalating thats not right either. Even though he was wrong in trying to punch that guy, the hundreds of pistons fans throwing beer (and chairs) cannot be held blameless. The brawl was kind of everyones fault , so you cant really point a finger at one person.

Yeah 6'7 240 pound attacking a midget compared to his size is tough. ...people like Artest should not be tolerated. bought nothing but shame to our sport.he tainted the image of the game.

Those "innocent bystanders" were running on the court looking for a fight.

Yeah, we should tolerate people throwing garbage on the court because that's manly and classy and doesn't taint the sport or anything. I'm sorry, but fans have to take responsibility as well.

Sorry it's a 'crzap' thread. Stephen Jackson, talented and loony, is available. He'd do wonders for this team IMO. I'd take him in a New York Minute, and let him become JVG's modern 'spree, as in Latrell 'Coach Choking' 'Family Feeding Needing' Spreewell.

One of the guys on 610 this morning said we might try and trade for Salim Stoudamire of Atlanta. He said the Rockets really liked in the draft. I don't know what they would give up to get him. Maybe Alston + Swift for Harrington + Stoudamire
