This movie was okay. I use to watch the cartoon but it was insanely confusing. [I was inconsistant in watching it too] This explained a bit of it. . so maybe I need to go back and watch the cartoon again. I found it entertaining. not great. Various aspects of it were put in just for the SCI-FI value but they did not fit in the overall story. [Her Side kicks . . .the modificaion . .. served little to no purpose and they actually would have been problematic IMO for their society] It was a solid effort. . .but nothing ground breaking. C+ Don't go in expecting anything extraordinary Rocket River
Catwoman Elektra Aeon Flux The "holy trinity" of action flicks starring a hot chick in tight clothing that have failed miserably...
i haven't seen the movie. you need to re-visit the animated series (that aired on mtv's Liquid Television.) i'm interested in seeing the movie both because i loved the series (i own the dvd) and because i want to see charlize in those outfits.
TERRIBLE MOVIE!!! While the concept, the set and special effects were all decent, the plot and dialogue were absolutely atrocious. Whoever wrote this was probably stoned and thought it'd be funny to make a movie where each line is limited to using one or two predicates. By the time the plot twists, I didn't even care and I just wanted the movie to end so I could get out. Only positive is that Charlize Theron does show some skin in this flick.
That movie critic from Dallas spoke in my class the other day. He said this movie refused to show them a screener, so he was assuming it must suck pretty bad. He also said Kong might go down as the best movie in 2005 if its done right, which he's optimistic it is.
I read that the movie's producer saw no value-added for showing screeners. Their target audience (guys who like to see 'action flicks starring a hot chick in tight clothing') don't read movie reviews.
charlize theron shows some skin in almost all of her movies. i watched parts of Monster last night, and she was naked in that too. but obviously, it just wasnt the same. anyway, sorry for derailing this thread....
[sarcasm] I felt there weren't enough scenes of Theron doing cartwheels and flips. [/sarcasm] The movie violated TWO fundamental rules of Aeon Flux: SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER 1) Trevor Goodchild is a villain. 2) Aeon Flux dies. In every episode. WTF? I hate how Hollywood just has to fiddle with the source material in EVERY movie.
The cartoon really doesn't tell any sort of connecting story, so don't expect one. The Aeon chick was just a means to tell different short stories. There were some cool episodes, and some stinkers.
Normally I would steer the hell away from movies like this but my God, Charlize Theron is hot and I can't even begin to imagine how hot she is in skintight type stuff. :drools
