Can anyone explain his jersey number as well? I remember him wearing 23 a couple years ago then 15 and last year (in the few games he played) he wore 91. What's up with that?
for those of you saying that he isn't trying to be a "warrior" or whatever...his team at Fonde was called "tru warier" and they pronounced it "true warrior," IIRC.
He's said that he wants to wear the number of all his idols during his career. As far as the hair thing goes, I'm scratching my head as to why the media has mostly reacted like this was some shocking novel move like TO's sharpie. Good call to the thread starter that remembered Mase doing it a decade ago. Geez, I remember when it was all over my high school. What disturbs me about Ron's hair is that once again he's pimping his second job. After he used his "public apology" last year to do the same thing, I really have to wonder if his head is ever going to be in the right place. Pacers = perpetual bridesmaids. Evan
that is soooo 1987-89. terrible. i remember having a flat-top and lines and weird symbols around the sides.
One of my co-workers is a HUGE Pistons fan. He was laughing for a good 5 minutes when he saw the picture of Artest's head.
Misspelling words, putting them on your head and running around on the court gotta be more serious than violation of dress code. Imagine a 6 year old spells warier instead of warrior in the class and tells the teacher NBA did it too. Also whatever the rating agency is for music albums, they should not allow album with misspelled title. It's already enough celebrating "die hard trying" attitude. Now glorifying misspelling?
If he really did intend the double meaning of the variation "wary" and the homonym (sort of) "warrior" then I approve of this (even though he could have spelled "true" correctly). If it is his record label, though, that was around well before the brawl, so it can't be a reference to him being more wary after the incident.
