the gambit character is too much like wolverine plot line. a guy who is a loner convinced to join x-men but still unpredictable. that is exactly like gambit, w/o the cajun accent. between the two, i'll take the logan/wolverine character. gambit was portrayed a little to cocky for my taste. wolverine was cocky but in a different way.
I just got off the phone with my wife who was in Los Angeles for business to meet with one of the producers of this movie. She saw a little bit of the stuff he gets from the shoot in Vancouver everyday.

wow the trailer was stunning, this movie comes out in May? geez all that and still 6 months left to go!
Did you guys, well, you fellow comic book guys, catch the "fastball special?" It seems that rubbled town at night is the Danger Room. I was hoping for a more low tech version like they had planned for the 2nd movie, a giant room with obstacles like rising and falling floors, giant saws, robot arms/tentacles, and flamethrowers. Of course it would be harder to do that than just set up an outdoor scene and say it's amazing holographic technology.

Speaking about Rogue, I grew up on the X-men cartoon and never really took to Anna Paquin. She was nothing like the tall, curvaceous, Southern belle that I remembered.
