Well we're in a deep, deep hole right now. We'd probably have to match last year's turnaround just to even make the playoffs. So, where does everybody stand. Personally, I'd be incredibly happy if we pull things together and get a low playoff seed and make a little noise in the postseason. I think it's very possible if T-mac can stay healthy, and one perimeter role player really steps up. Luther's shown flashes, but he needs to play even better for it to translate into wins.
Here is where we are: Rockets are 4-12, 66 games left in a 82 game season. With several new teams doing really well (clippers, golden state) you proly need at least 45 wins to make the playoffs, more like 47-48 games. To get to 6 or 7, you might need 50 wins To win 45 games, need to go 41-25, that's 62% To win 48 games, need to go 44-22, that's 67% To win 50 games, need to go 46-20, that's 70% Anyone here thinks rockets can win 62% of the rest of the games, let alone go 70%. If they go .500 that would be a big improvment over this sorry display. The bad news: it doesn't look like they will improve anytime soon, and if they lose a couple more games, they need to go .700 just to make the playoffs.

They've got to make a historic run to erase the memories of the last month or so....they simply, positively have to...my sanity depends on it.
We need to Shoreup our Primeter defense. need a 3rd scorer to. if we sort those 2 needs quickly, we can still make a run at the playoffs.
Without a "miracle" trade, getting more than we expected for less than we expected, forget about it. Not enough talent on the floor, and what is there doesn't mesh well together. High hopes have been dashed to the ground.
I think the Rockets squeak into the playoffs this year. Not necessarily because we turn it around and dominate the 2nd half of the season. But also because I expect a monumental collapse of the Clippers as well as some other teams currently playing beyond their means. Maybe an injury here or there (to them, not us!), and we're right back in the mix.
