OK all you Texas fans, who will be your opponent in the Rose Bowl? Actually, I think USC can lose this game and still land in the Rose Bowl, although I don't think that will happen. All I can say is....please don't get hurt, Reggie Bush. We Texan fans don't want another Willis McGehee situation.
USC won't lose this game, even if they did, I think they'd still be in it. With that said, Texas vs. USC!!!!!
Okay, we get it: Reggie Bush is a game-changing, great player. The announcing crew can stop polishing his knob now. It's embarrassing to listen to.
Doesn't matter. If he doesn't get hurt in this game he would get hurt behind the OL we have and that's the reason we aren't going to draft him anyways.
Agree 100%. The Texans don't need Reggie Bush, we need offensive lineman. Trade down and get a decent experienced RB then draft a quality OL.
I don't know how the Texans could possibly pass on this guy. Take Bush and then draft 3 or 4 OL or sign a couple of free agents.
If they make pre draft moves and get rid of some players to get Vetran OL then draft nothing but OL after Bush then fine. But if they make no OL moves before the draft then no point in putting a guy with all that talent behind a line that couldn't block Highschool Defensive linemen.
Didn't they sign Dominick to a big contract? why bring in Reggie when we need help at other positions? mainly OL. If it were that easy to build an offensive line everyone would draft OL in the later rounds.
Isn't that how the Broncos built their OL and they've had some pretty good ones. Frankly, 2nd and 3rd round picks are potential starters, especially if they're the 1st pick in those rounds. Of course we are talking about Charley Casserly and the Texans scouting.
True, the Broncos have done it for years. But like you said, Casserly's record of drafting here is not good. Hopefully Casserly and Capers will be gone and we can get this ship back on course.
Have you even seen Reggie Bush? Go turn on your TV and get off the computer. If you really feel this way and you have seen Reggie Bush play, you are in the small minority. Domanic Davis? LoL
Have you seen USC's offensive line? It blows the Texans OL away. Reggie doesn't do it all by himself.
That's like passing on Michael Jordan because you just signed David Wesley to a new contract. Ok, granted Reggie Bush isn't the greatest player ever. But at least on the college level, he is the closest thing to a can't miss stud as there is. The pre-draft scouting service (forget the name) that most NFL teams use (including the Texans) says that Bush is the highest rated talent they've ever seen coming into the draft. As for taking an offensive lineman, yeah I agree we seriously need help there. But if you think using a first round pick is instantly going to solve that problem, you're wrong. See Robert Gallery and Alex Barron for recent examples. We need line help no doubt....I just don't think you have to use your first pick on it.
The Texans have to take Bush if he is available. Also, Domanic Davis seems to do decent with our OL, why can't Bush?
huh? Did you see the play he ran in the first half when his team was inside the 5 and he ran outside for 70 yards? The OL did not give him that superhuman burst of speed to get to the outside. I'm seriously doubting you saw that. And by the way, its not even a debate anymore. Whoever gets the first pick in the NFL draft will get Bush. The debate is over, welcome to last month. As I stated before, you trade down. Reggie should land a quality veteran OL or 2. Then you pick another quality OL later in the first round and you now have the foundation for a quality offense. We have DD, who is a decent back, we have AJ who is one of the best recievers in the NFL, and lastly, we have Carr, who has shown when given time he can carve up defenses. You don't win in the NFL without a good offensive line. Reggie Bush will not turn this franchise around.
Yeah, UCLA is just like an NFL defense. I hope the Texans draft him and spend every penny they have to sign him. Then we will see who is right.
