http://www.nba.com/news/hardwood_051201.html NEW YORK, Dec. 1, 2005 – The NBA and its teams will celebrate the past with a series of retro games titled NBA Hardwood Classics Nights for the fifth consecutive season. As part of their celebration, 11 teams will honor their history by commemorating specific historical events and milestones, the history of basketball in their city, or legendary teams and players by wearing uniforms from each decade of the NBA’s history, as well as having special ceremonies, in-arena entertainment and promotions. NBA Hardwood Classics Nights will tip-off December 4. There will be a total of 52 games scheduled; 16 of the 52 games will feature both teams wearing their HWCN uniforms; 16 of the 52 games will be televised on either ABC, ESPN, TNT or NBATV. Highlights included the Philadelphia 76ers honoring the 50th Anniversary of its 1954-55 NBA Champion Syracuse Nationals and the Sacramento Kings celebrating 20 years in the city of Sacramento. Yeah last year we had those jerseys from the 80's and 70's but this year we are wearing our 93'-95' Home Jerseys! WOOT . I like those a lot more than the other ones. I saw the prelimenary list for Retro Nights a long time ago and many of the other teams jerseys blow so I lost intrest. GREAT NEWS! THANKS! I wonder if they will do something to honor Sam then. I guess Rudy will be there as well.
For $100 Mig is my witness, at the beginning of October, I keed you not, they were on Clearence for $40 but went back up 2 weeks later. I was going to order it but lost my check card, by the time i got a replacment, it was jacked back up to $100
I was crushed on that day. I'm a poor college student, and I didn't have the money to buy it right then or I would have. But I picked up the phone and called my mom to say "Mom, there's a jersey online that's usually $100, is currently $40, and I've always really liked it and wanted one. Can you buy it for me now and I'll get you back later?" She said yes, but I told her not to buy it. Because I had bought a hardwood classics jersey before and the size was too big for me. I didn't remember what size I got, and my mom wasn't home at the time to check for me, so I told her to just forget about it. I would come home that weekend, look in my closet at the size on my jersey, and order a size smaller. Everything would be good. But when I went back to order, all of a sudden it was back to $100. I felt like I had missed a fantastic opportunity (which I had) and didn't like it at all. I killed myself shortly thereafter. *I may or may not have made that last part up, but everything else is 100% true and it sucked something awful*
Yeah the only problem I have with these jerseys is that they come down to my knees. Is there anyway you can get some that don't. I dont want to get smaller, cuz then its too tight.
Was this posted on this site because I did not see it when it was for 40 bucks. If someone did, then I am a freaking idiot for not checking the BBS at the time. If no one did, then I am sorry but you guys deserve to lose out on that deal for not letting the rest of us in on it.
