In the Chron paper today it said Yao gave T-Mac one of the new ipods (Im guessing either nano or video) after he had been making fun of T-Mac for using an old generation ipod.

If Yao can win this, may be he should buy one for every teammate.

Yao is considered for the Player of the month award.

NEW YORK (Ticker) - Forward LeBron James, who the Cleveland Cavaliers to their first 10-win November in nearly 30 years, was named Eastern Conference Player of the Month on Thursday.

Los Angeles Clippers forward Elton Brand received the award in the Western Conference.

James led the Cavaliers to a 10-4 month, marking the first time the team posted 10 or more wins in November since 1977-78 and only the third time in the franchise's history. James, who averaged 28.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.64 steals, scored 25 or more points in 10 of 14 games.

In a 123-120 win over Philadelphia on November 19, James recorded his first triple-double of the season, collecting 36 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Brand led the Clippers to a 10-5 record and first place in the Pacific Division with a strong first month. Brand shot 56 percent from the floor and averaged 23.7 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.7 blocks.

Brand is the only player in the league to rank in the top 10 in points and rebounds and ranks fourth in field goal percentage. With 10 double-doubles this month, Brand became the franchise's all-time leader in double-doubles with 182.

Also considered for the awards were Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki, Marcus Camby of the Denver Nuggets, Detroit's Chauncey Billups, Golden State's Jason Richardson, Yao Ming of the Houston Rockets, Indiana's Jermaine O'Neal, Miami's Dwyane Wade, Minnesota's Kevin Garnett, Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic, Philadelphia's Allen Iverson and San Antonio's Tony Parker.
