i still ride my bike, im 18....i dont do any of that sweet oldschool stuff..i just ride street, mainly downtown........never heard of a helmet law though, and ive been stopped my cops alot and they never mentioned it, so........
That Skyway was an ultra bike back in the day ~ I had a Supergoose decked out with various custom parts. I still have a mid-80s GT 24" cruiser i'll take out for a spin now and again.
Yeah I love to get like Eddie Fiola yellow & blue. I have white GT Mags GT Seat & GT seat Clap GT Cranks & laid back seat post Also, have white Diacompe breaks (front & back) I need GT tires, block neck w/ halo bolt , frameset stickers, and handle bars. Need a either a Gyro or ACS rotor
Rad.....one of my all time favorite movies....still have the VHS Used to ride at Armadillo Downs back in the day.....Had to many bikes to remember....Elf, Powerlite, Hutch, Redline, MCS....Ahhh those were the days.
Go with the Gyro. I personally like Rotors better, but they look strange on GT's. I should know, my GT Aggressor has a Rotor on it. It used to be the skyway, when the frame broke, I bought the GT frame & Fork.- UGLY bike for a long time-chrome with skyway blue parts. Slowly made it mostly chrome & black. Now I'm trying to redo it. Bought some Chrome Performer bars to replace the blue skyway bars, Have a GT disc to replace the skyway disc. Need a Gyro, headset, bottom Bracket, cranks, black pedals (to replace the blue skyway pedals) and new hubs for my Peregrine 48's. It should look like a real GT when its done.
oh man, some of my best childhood memories come to mind when talk about bmx. In beginning when I could not afford a real bmx I had to get an old bike and remove all unnecceary parts. put on some gaffer taped foams and rode the streets like a devil. then finally I got myself a cheap bmx which was a Kettler (german brand). But I always wanted a GT, Diamondback or a Raleigh. And I always wanted that blue and white Haro pants. ahhhhhh,.............those where the days............
I had 2 GTs and a Diamondback. I also had a Hutch that 24 k gold plated, pedals, spokes and pegs lol. My grandma paid about $1200 for it back in the day. I wish I still had that bike.
