Do any of you Netflix users ever have a movie at the top of your queue that is continually passed up despite the availability saying "now"? It's happened three times in a row now. I want to expose my wife to Smokey and the Bandit, dammit!!!
That just happened to me last week. After I e-mailed them about it, it shipped after my next return. Hope this doesn't turn into a continuing problem with them.
If ya'll think going to Blockbuster will fix the problem it wont.. It happens to me all the time at Blockbuster online.. I thought about trying out Netflix, but I guess not
ive thought about switing too, i like the 2 in store rentals i get with bbuster, but netflix has more titles to choose from, plus ive had the previous posters problem with 2 movies now.
Never had a movie sit at the top of my queue and say "now" and not have it shipped next. I have had a movie sit at the top saying "very long wait" for over a month though. The only other problem I have had is sending in a movie and it taking 3 days to get there before they send me my next movie.
I've had them skip me for some new releases that were just coming available. I think I was churning movies too quickly which I've heard will cause them to pass you by on new releases. I slowed down some (3 a week)and haven't had that problem since. I really need to slow down as I see Catwoman is creeping up my list. But I've never had them skip a "now" movie. Smokey and the Bandit huh? I'm surprised you can't get that movie - good buddy.
With Smokey and the Bandit, I would assume they don't have a copy but their system thinks they do and they're all too lazy to fix it. Seriously, with a movie that old, how many people are renting it? Email them about it. Once when I was a teenager, me and a friend rented Conan, the Barbarian from Blockbuster. We put it in the car when we were done and the car was stolen that night. The car turned up again a couple of days later but the movie was stolen. So, my friend told Blockbuster it was stolen and paid for it. Next time we went to Blockbuster, the box was still on the shelf even though they no longer had a copy of the movie. So, he went to ask about it and was told it was rented out. So, every time we went back (which was often), he'd ask about it again. I think that went on for a year before he stopped asking.
One of the positives about Netflix in Houston is there turn around time is a day or two faster than Blockbuster. At least this is what I've heard from Blockbuster users.
At that time it really is "available" but someone who had it Q'd up before you gets it. I just had the same problem with GameFly.com and the game Gun for the 360.
In the queue page, go to "options" and click on "filters." Unselect "filter out crappy movies." There you go, you can rent SatB and even Titanic if you wish! (I keed ... I keed ...)
Anyone ever have a movie move out of your queue and into the saved area? I got a little nostalgic a while back and put My So Called Life in my queue, and it stayed there for a while, moving up the list as per usual. One day it was down in the Saved area with availability unknown and has been there ever since. What's that about? Oh, and no lip from you vwiggin.
