CF.net Holiday Pickup Game?

I figure the 23rd of December would be good as it wont' be exactly Christmas Eve or Christmas Day and it's on a Friday and most people will have that day off. Will you guys be in town by then?

Only thing is the UH rec center is closed the 23rd. Their outdoor courts though is better than the Rice one on Sunset I believe. All of christmas week the UH rec center will be closed as well.

 

Especially when he organizes a football game, says that he will bring the ball, then doesn't show up.

 

I'd love to play but i'm still going thru physical therapy for my ankle, doc says no golf or basketball for 6 more months.

 

Hell.. if we're gonna do an outdoor court, we should go to to Root Memorial Square Park downtown.

 

Somewhat setup a good time and place.

 

Brilliant, this is now my favorite idea unless we get the hook up with a nice indoor court.

That's an idea as well too. NOt sure if you guys wanted to run pick-up games against one another or against strangers. Can anyone confirm how packed that place is on weekends?

 

Yeah, I'd prefer to go to a place where we could have a court to ourselves. I doubt that would be the case at Root Square.

 

if it's planned for Dec. 23rd and at around noon time, i doubt there'd be anyone out there on a friday morning.

Anyone give any thought to the courts at 24 hr fitness?

Unfortunately I dont' think the majority of us have gym memberships. I know i'm the only one on the league team that has a 24 hour fitness membership. I think that Thursday would actually be good to. The 22nd? Most people are off on Friday right? Of course if it was on the 22nd it'd probably have to be a night game.

 

Is there a gym we could rent for a few hours?

I mean for the rich clutchfans members, hee hee.

 

I believe there is. Marion Community Center, but I believe it's 60 an hour and it has to be on a day when they don't have any events going on. It's located on the southwest part of town so I'll look into it.
