Basically, I've always wanted to go to one of the pickup games that we always have, but I'm neverin Houston around the time. Since a lot of people here have family in Houston or live in Houston, I figured that many would be in town for Christmas (including me). Because of this, I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in a day's worth of pickup basketball. The only catch is that I'm not in Houston, so I'd have no idea of where to have it at, or how to set it up. (Basically, I'm just merely proposing that we have the game, and I'm hoping that somehow someone in my family would let me borrow a car or something... ). If anyone's interested, let's see if we can get something done. I'm planning on being in town from about December 17th to about the 31st.
For what its worth I would definately play if I was in Houston. Unfortunately the closest I will get to Houston during that time is in NO for a few days two weeks from now.
well the league is out (for various reasons...... ahem) but I'm down to play in this one if it gets off the ground
Probably best place to play is UH once again. They allow non-students in their gym now for 8 dollar community pass which is decent considering all the facilities you get to use. Best thing is to set a date and time. Probably early because the gym probably closes earlier during the holidays.
I know someone who won't play, but they'll probably talk a bunch of trash about how they would dominate the game. I'll play though.
I am off work the last two weeks of the year, so I might be able to wheeze my ass out there.....as long as all of you keep the laughter to a minimum!!
I doubt it would be as laughable as me and Behad hauling our old asses up and down the court at the last one. I dont know about actually playing at one...depends on how many old out of shape guys we get to show up.
I'll play. This time I'll even be careful not to sprain my ankle before the game. I am off of work starting 12/21, so any day between then and 1/2 will work for me.
I am in also. UH is option #1? Rice University outdoor court on Sunset is always an option if the weather is not freezing during that undecided day
I should be able to make it. My b-ball game is really lacking these days, but I'd be down to embarrass Kam.
The semester ends up here soon and I plan on being in Houston for a few days this winter break. Depending on which days you guys do it, I'm definately down for some ballin'!
